Greetings:
Â
We are a Los Angeles-based media relations firm hired by Swedish Match and are communicating with you because you may be a user of Swedish Snus, General.
Â
We are bringing an opportunity to your attention—an opportunity to tell your story:
Â
In our conversations with local media about snus and tobacco harm reduction, many reporters have stated they would like to speak to users of snus based in California who would be willing to share their story. We cannot offer compensation for doing this (indeed, the media would only speak to you if you are NOT receiving any form of compensation). However, your willingness to speak on record could benefit thousands of other cigarette smokers looking for a smokeless alternative to smoking.
Â
Please let me know if you would be willing to talk to a reporter—just respond to this email. The reporter could be from a newspaper, magazine, TV network or radio talk show. We would then provide contact information you wish to share - only upon request - with a member of the news media, and would not share your information for any other purpose.
Â
Thank you for your consideration of this invitation to share your story.
Â
Kind regards,
Â

P.S. You may be aware that Swedish Match has submitted an application to the FDA for recognition of their General-branded snus as a modified-risk tobacco product. This is the first such application to be accepted for review by the FDA, and they will announce their decision sometime in July or early August.Â
