Any intel out there on Danish company Ministry of Snus/snuscorp? I miss RITE

    Hi all!
I am based in the US but have been snussing for decades (Swedish cousins). For years, RITE Nordic Dry Large portions have been my absolute go to. They are strong but high quality, and the flavor is perfect. Unfortunately, the danish company that manufactures them has inexplicably stopped shipping new stock to retailers (at least those who ship to the States) and I’m stuck with the closest alternative, PUCK, which is… disgusting tbh. But it has the same strength and is not as gross as odens or Siberia.

id love to know if anyone here has any insights into what’s going on. It’s been around 6 months since I e seen RITE in stock anywhere, except on the manufacturers website, but they will not ship to me.

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

I have no information, but it's nothing special, if products are discontinued (completely, or in certain markets / countries) for what reason ever (not enough revenue, legal burdens, shipping costs, customs fees, a repositioning of the company, and so on).

From a short Google search it indeed looks like the company is still in business and operating normally. You could ask them directly. They certainly will not tell you any trade secrets, but I'm sure they will politely answer a customer request as to the availability of their products.

Good luck! And please report back, if possible.

Thanks for the reply! I have spoken with them, and the response has been unclear. They say they “are always innovating and improving their product line, which sometimes means we produce less of certain products that are less popular” but would not confirm or deny discontinuation. They do sell similar products to the one I am looking for, directly on their website, but are unable to sell them to us customers. For a brief window in time I was able to purchase large quantities of it that had expired from various vendors, but they are all out now.

I have felt frustrated that my attempts to get more information directly from the company are intercepted by Public relations people, when I really just want to talk to someone involved with production.
