Snus Armageddon is Here

Well there is BAD news on shipping of Snus from overseas, and I didn't see anything about it posted, so just to inform you of what is going on. A LOT of sites are no shipping to the USA, some kind of problem with the FDA I think Red listing some Snus, so they are not shipping anything to avoid the hassle with shipping to the USA. Lots of sites show "Item not available to ship to United States.", so you can't order it, but there are still a few showing they will ship. I recommend if you can, to stock up on what you like. The nicotine pouches are not a problem, just the Snus products. I think it has to do with them not getting their tax money, but I don't really know the reason, just guessing. Sorry to hear that!

It's indeed most likely the fear of losing (cigarette) tax money that drives politicians. The whole anti tobacco nonsense of today really has nothing to do with health.

From my past experience in Germany (bound to laws of the European Union) it also might not take long until nicotine pouches are banned.

I always admired the grown-up democratic political system of the U.S. with checks and balance, but regarding tobacco the whole world seems to have gone utterly crazy. Nothing makes sense, unless one counts in that all is probably just to keep people smoking to maximize tax revenues, possibly also to let them die earlier so that the burden on the pension system and health insurance companies is reduced.

Was just looking at taxes on a pack of smokes per state and it is all over the place. Imagine that in itself would make things a bit difficult for the Snus shippers, but whether it is a tax thing, a move towards synthetic thing, or to push people into the stores thing, it has been a nice long run thanks to the Snus folks and the hope of course is everything settles down with Snus remaining available for shipping and without it costing an arm and a leg. Of course, people are paying 10-15 dollars for a pack of smokes, so maybe the expectation will be higher costs per can once everything settles down. I remember when smokes were 45 cents per pack, so, these current costs for a can of snus in a store just doesn't make a bit of sense to me.
