Haha, this is awesome wa3zrm! While I was giving you much to hard a time when I said that, it is nice to read more of your written word lately. Don't be too creeped out, but I googled you the other day. What's up with the radio station? Anyway good info here. I would only disagree with the "forum wars" bit. I don't post over there but I've browsed a couple times, and even searched the forum for the word "snuson". There have been a few comments by frustrated members who left here due to some beef with a snuson member(s), but it's not like they talk a bunch of shit about us over there, at least not in public, and nor do we slander them or their forum. I'm more curious about the business side though; I've never had reason to oder from Larry, but do they really have strong numbers compared to Northerner or (formerly) Getsnus? I have no idea. I guess he probably does do fairly well huh. Anyway, good piece man, thanks for posting.

Isn't snuscentral just a mirror site that Larry pimps for buysnus and gets a little change in affiliate profits? I mean, it's not like any money ever goes through snuscentral's hands (when I buy snus there my bank transactions state the name "buysnus ab" or something to that affect) or Larry has a physical inventory on his hands, right? So Northerner is like a billion times bigger of a company in comparison.

I may be going out on a limb here, and Larry can correct me if wrong. He started his .org as the end all be all for information on Swedish snus. It's the first site that I first learned of snus, and there is a TON of info there. The .com came about to help cover the costs of running the .org....not sure about if he's making any money as I've never asked him. I just enjoy the people and the site...just like I do here.

I honestly think this is a non-issue. If you like it there, post/buy there, if you like it here, post/buy here...if you like both do both. If you want to know more about the buysnus connection, just ask Larry...he's a great guy too, he'll probably tell you all about it.

I have to agree with those who say this is a non-issue. Friendly rivalry is not the same thing as "war". From what I can see, the snus community has room for more vendors and websites, not fewer. Taking sides and stirring up resentment doesn't help any of us.

I took the article to be a bit of fun hyperbole, not a serious call to arms or anything. The snus world's getting shaken up pretty good here now. It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next year or so :^)

Since he is a member there also, I don't think he has much room for condemnation.

SnusCentral was started as a information site, with a forum attached. The store part was to pay for the site. There are a lot of crossover members, although most do not actively participate. SC and Snuson are, as mentioned above , different places, with slightly different focuses. Both have their place, and both have their uses.
As for the SC store/Buysnus I use it, I also use Northerner. Since Clubsnus and now Getsnus as previously known are gone, those are really the only two snus vendors left. When I started snus, it was only The Northerner and Buysnus, now after two years it's the same again.
There is no reason for animosity between the two. I know Larry never thought SC would be a competitor of Snuson. Although some here see it differently.
