    The official word on Skruf/FDA.

I received confirmation this morning from one of my contacts at Skruf that Skruf will not be a US product, and will not be registering with the FDA. They did use the phrase "at this time", so that may change one day, but they said they want to focus on Scandinavian operations, and at this point will not pursue the US.

So, any site that has it for sale right now - I'd suggest buying what you can and stocking up on it while it's still for sale, because it won't be for much longer. And as with Montecristo/R&J/Lucky Strike, if you find it for sale anywhere, you do run a risk of it being seized as it is not and will not be a US registered product (at this time).

Just wanted to pass that info along. Sorry guys!

That sucks. I will have to make do with what I got in stock I guess. Skruf White is a good late summer/early fall snus.

I ordered one can of skruf which I got as part of my try out pack from northerner.. I'll hold on to it for a year... Try it out on a special occasion and keep the tin to store my daily use snus as a conversation piece being "illegal" and all..

That's how I am with my last can of Triumph Mint. It's not illegal, but I do use it VERY rarely.

If you're a Skruf fan I'd suggest getting it from them before it gets shut down. But don't get mad if it doesn't make it to you, since it's on the FDA naughty list, they could randomly seize it at any time.

That sucks, I was hoping they'd change their minds.

Like you said, the "at this time" gives me a little hope that they will one day.

I'll have to stretch out the 5 or so cans I have in the mean time.

Arrggh! Payday is a week away. I hope BuySnus/SnusCentral is still selling the Skruf products then -- I wouldn't mind stashing away another roll or two of Knox lös if I get the chance.

Is the labeling specific enough to tip off customs agents? I feel like it'd just be more "swedish snoose" to them.

Customs could examine it but the chances of them having a list of FDA approved snus brands will be pretty close to zero. Chances of a given customs agent even knowing what snus is are also pretty slim.
