I spend every October praying that the red sox jet will collide with the Yankees jet due to a tragic error on the part of a sleep-deprived air traffic controller. Jubilation be upon the sport of bas-a-bal! Can I get a Amen?

I'd love to see some new faces in the WS, like Giants v. Twins or Rangers.

But it'll more likely be Phillies' 3rd appearance in three years. Twins will probably implode allowing the damn Yanks another shot... ugh.

My hometown team is suffering the second-longest WS win drought.

It's been a crazy season, with lowest league ERA, lowest batting average and most CGs in recent years.

                      Cincinnati Reds.

Been a fan of theirs since the "Big Red Machine" era.

Haters gonna hate. Face it, if it weren't for the Yankees and the Red Sox most people wouldn't watch baseball.

Since my Red Sox are done, I'll just have to root for the Yankees to make a quick exit. The NL lineup looks pretty promising too, I love watching playoff baseball.

I agree. I approve of the return of good pitching though, IMHO that's what baseball should be about.

Yankee and red sox "fans" buy hats and jerseys, thats where the revenue comes from. No one watches baseball anymore, ask TBS.

Baseball has lost a lot of appeal to me once I discovered NFL in high school. Today, it seems to be still pretty archaic with the lack of official rules regarding replays and poorly constructed division (unlike NFL). And Selig being completely worthless these days (although I gotta credit him for the playoff changes in the 90s and interleague play).

This year there were some pretty spectacular documents leaked which detailed how the Pittsburgh Pirates still made a killing (merch) despite being the most consistently bad team since 1980. And it seems the management are content with the team being bad as long as sales are up. I wouldn't mourn if baseball was crushed by apathetic fans and the recession.
