A percentage of society will always be drawn to drugs wether legal or illegal. The bad part of them being illegal is the drug cartels in our neighborhoods and the imprisonment that comes with it. People will not get the proper treatment here in America for a addiction because you can just as easily get drugs in prison.
With all the steps needed to get out of the criminal system a addict basically has no hope.

No, those dealers just go into legitimate businesses. They don't just go away, they will just start selling it legally. You are allowing them to not hide in the shadows and just open up a store on your block. I'm not even saying I disagree with that, because at least then we could regulate and tax it, but let's not pretend it would get rid of any criminals. Like after prohibition, the members of the mob didn't all just start opening up hot dog stands, they just changed their line of work to some other illegal racket like gambling etc. These people will never go away. And i'm aware of how big meth was back in the day. Coke was around a long time ago too, evne in coca cola! lol. I wonder how much it would cost to get a vintage coca cola bottle that had real blow in it haha.

They use different chemicals to isolate certain molecules from the amphetimine comound, the problem is that some molecules of the agent used to refine it are left behind and then it is cut with other terrible shit like acitone. It's literally like smoking shit from under you kitchen counter where you keep the rat poison. Terrible stuff.

I have seen those prescription pill bottles. I also know the cross tops pills also known as white cross pills. But I dont know what the point of this post Im writing is, Ive been there and seen it, I hate meth even more than I hate heroin, the drug that ruined my life. I guess what Im saying is that meth is too easy to make and too easy to get from a Dr. so its here and probably not going away anytime soon.

And therein lies the real problem. It can be easily made in your basement. As long as you can find somewhere to get pseudophedrin in large quantities, you can make it pretty easily (though it's a highly volatile process and very dangerous, but **** it, right?). But yah it's too easy to make, it'll never go away unless they outlaw cold medication.

The people I know who made it lost all there teeth from inhaling the fumes from making meth. In Iowa they have a way you can make small amounts in a 2 liter soda bottle, but you have to be careful because they guy I know burned down his house when it caught fire in his hands.

Not sure if a slang term for Meth is "glass"? but my crack friend had a roomate who was always smoking his "glass" out of lightbulbs. He would not touch the crack because glass was so much better. lol

After about a month there was only one lightbulb in the entire two story flop house.

Yes "glass" is a term for meth. And I know all about tearing apart light bulbs to smoke from. When the light bulb breaks they just keep smoking it off the piece of broken glass from the bulb.

I would love to see some statistics on how many meth users that are arrested actually have a prescription for Desoxyn, I'm willing to bet that the majority do NOT, especially since this is not a commonly prescribed drug, therefore, their proceeds probably go somewhere to support clandestine labs. These labs present a hazard to everyone around whether it be from an explosion or fumes or toxic sludge carelessly released into the environment. There have been reports of portable labs being set up in hotel rooms! Do you know the person who rented your house before you moved in? Perhaps they cooked up some ice in your bedroom and left behind chemical traces that your children are breathing in. I show no mercy for these methfreaks who think they are chemists and smile every time I hear of a lab being busted. Normally I take the 'freedom for all' type approach but nope, you won't get me to change my mind when it comes to meth.

Lol, yah gotta strip that lining off em first, then when they break you just keep using it till there aint nothing left but a charred black stubb. My old roomate was the craziest tweaker ever lol

I hear you there. That's what always trips me out about hotels. Where I used to live in LA I had a friend who ran one out of a hotel for almost a month before they caught on. he got out before the cops got there and never got caught. It's just too easy to set up anywhere. i too laugh when I see then get busted or their house burns down. One blew up down the street from my uncles house and burned so hot the firefighters couldn't even go in. Not sure what was in there but almost surely a meth lab. These people have no respect for the rights of others.

I personally can see the logic to legalizing all drugs, but seeing what i've seen with friends who use speed, I imagine a scene of overturned cars, buildings on fire, airplanes dropping from the sky etc if they legalize it lol.

I have a friend, yes I still consider him a friend even though I have been off drugs for over 5 years, but he is the biggest speed freak I know, he doesnt smoke or snort it, he shoots it. I've had my expereance with needles due to my heroin addiction, but this guy takes a gram or more of the shit and slams it into his arm, then he gets all twaked out and psychotic. He was over at my palce a few years back (one of the last times I let him in) and he was so tweeked that he was running up and down the hallways of my apartment building with a knife and yelling "where is Shelly" Shelly is his girlfriend who he hadnt seen in a week and she was on her way to meet him at my place. So I finally got him to sit down in one place and she shows up and imediatly when she came in the door he slams it shut and rips her shirt off thinking she has a wire on her. He took her into my bedroom and he rambled incoherantly for an hour, then would come out to me and ask if I was alright. I would say "yes Im alright why?" He would start yelling "**** tell me the truth, are you OK?" and he thought there were midgits in my closet keeping me hostage that wouldnt let me talk to him, thats when I decided he was too bugged out and told me to shut my music off and thats when I told him to go, I was surprised that no one called the police after he ran around with the knife. But I have talked to him since, I just keep my distance. Just thought I would share my story about what meth does to your brain.

Yah i'm pretty sure that after you asked him to leave he just came over to my place, because I had a roomate that was just like him. I mean like crazy shit, and always completely at random. One day I come home from work and my ENTIRE apartment looks like the side of a train in east LA, I mean graffiti everywhere. He had tagged up every single inch of the walls with some name he had decided to call himself. Bonus: I came home and he had a 40 inch plasma TV, an xbox and a copy of the (then new) tony hawk project 8 game, so I was like oh chill. Then a few weeks later I found out that he managed to perfect the art of identity theft and was somehow getting money by stealing the identities of celebrities in Hollywood where we lived at the time. Aparently it worked because he was always spending mad cash which is partially why I let him stay there in the first place.

Anyways, this was the same time that I met my wife, who came to visit me for the first time, to find him in the room with like 8 underaged girls smoking meth in a giant hellcloud that permeated thruought the house. He then proceeded to rob her while she was asleep, something I didn't find out till much later, after he had claimed someone else did it and led us on a wild goose chase all over the valley to find the culprit, Anyways, long story short, I ended up marrying her, kicking him out, and all is well. But on the real, that shit does some crazy things to your brain.

LOL Wow, that is some crazy stuff!
My friend has been doing crack on and off for about 5 years and I have seen similar behavior with the riff raff that ends up at his house. There is always something stolen, trashed or another "broken nose" hospital story.

Most of these people do not work or deal with responsibilities and somehow just get by without a care. I dont understand it but have heard plenty of stories of how once you get into the criminal system it is very hard to get out of it.

Ok, so like I have said in other posts that I had a 7 year heroin addiction. That led me to print up fake checks for dope money. Out of the hundreds of checks I had printed, I was desperate one day and said **** it, Im gonna write this check out to myself and cash it in, It was the only way to get rid of the sickness that comes with opiate withraws. I was caught for that check and was put in jail and only spent one day and one night there and got off with unsupervised probation. I did that no problem. So then I was desperate another day sometime later and wrote some more checks out in my name thinking I would only get a slap on the wrist. Well I got hit with 4 different forgery charges and this time they didnt let me out of jail after the first night. I spent 6 months in the county jail waiting to go to prison for 4, 5 years sentaces. That is 20 years. The prosecuting attourney dropped it to 10 years and I waited and waited to be sentaced to prison. Well they did a pre-sentance report on me that saved my ass. The prosecution and state were all for me going to prison, but the report said I did probation just fine and recomended I do probation. Both recomendations were given to the judge, she asked me if I had anything to say, so I just said something like "I know I have made mistakes, but please dont send me to prison, I get enough shit from inmates at the county jail, I dont want to get raped". I really said something like that. Well to make this long story short I just quit doing drugs and am now out of the criminal system. It can be done, if you want to get out just stop doing stupid shit.

Edit: Forgot to add I got probation.

Johnny Cash ate speed for years. Same with Roger Miller.
Not everyone reacts or uses it the same way.
