The seal means nothing, like the Nobel prize.

Yeah man Nobel prize means nothing, never mind the myriad of recipients who have had a positive impact on civilization as a whole (except perhaps Obama).

Yah, like Yasar Arrafat and Jimmy Carter. Great men in history eh!

Obama was like "someone in the back there must be getting nervous" lol, alluding to the guy who installed it. He probably got fired. Or to put it in more politically correct terms, his job was redistributed to someone who needed it more.

Carter received the reward in 2002 for his post-presidential activities like Habitat for Humanity. Arafat was one of the few guys with balls to stand up to his people's persecution. Yes I'd say they're great men in history.

                Why not?

I think he's forgotten himself ... and Tipper.

                  Lol, not quite.

Your talking about the same foundation/group that awarded it to Obama for doing nothing other than inspiring hope in people, as though that was some novel new idea he brought forth to mankind. Who cares, once people like Obama, Carter, Al Gore etc start getting the same award, that awards starts to not mean anything, it's just like a liberal medal of honor that has no meaning behind it.

Everyone knows Obama got it because he's black(or considered black).

Obama's award was from mere speculation and I agree that his wasn't merited, but Carter definitely deserved it. Yeah, I guess you could pile Gore's along with Obama's.

The peace prize is highly politicized, as are the rest of the awards, but those that do receive non-peace prizes definitely have the merit.

I'll give you carter, he at least did something measurable that helped people. Your right though, it is highly politicized now. I like the ones for science though, those ****ers deserve it.
