Didn't we have a tea thread around here?

Just wondering because lately I'v been getting into tea. I'm a big noob to the tea thing, but I stopped drinking coffee awhile back and the other day i had a nasty cold and drank some tea that i swiped from a hotel awhile back. I don't know why but I really enjoyed it. Well I went thru the "samples" I had and decided to do some research and find more of this shit. Well the search for that particular brand led me to the only tea shop that the company said had it in the area, they didn't cary it anymore so I bought some loose earl grey the lady swore by, and i really like it. Well, long story short I am now a teatotaller and really jazzed about my dalliance into teadom. So I figured I'd start a thread since a search did me no good. So who likes the tea, what kind and why?

I like jasmine pearls (green) because they taste delicious and the little balls of tea unfurl and sink to the bottom. No fuss or tea leaves in the mouth. I don't really screw around with strainers and the like. I also like Yunnan Gold. In the summertime is usually when I find myself going for some bulk loose tea and making big pots of it, then I use old seal-top beer bottles and make a bunch of iced-tea that I can take with me in the bottles. I need to drink more tea though. I only really drink it when I'm out of coffee or if I'm traveling somewhere that's all about tea and no coffee. I think I actually prefer tea to coffee as far as taste, but I'm a bit of a caffeine junky so I stick with coffee most of the time.

I have had a nasty cold and have been trying to drown in out with Green Tea. looked up a little info as of late.

From what I have gathered the stuff in the packs that I have been drinking most of my life has the least amount of benefits. The bottled has none.
You want to purchase the the loose leaf to get the most benefits and flavor.
I went to the local Chinese grocery and purchased a Green OOlong tea and some Vietnamese. The OOlong was very good, I mean better then anything I have ever had by far. The Vietnamese one was a little too grassy flavored but much better then your average Lipton Tea Packet.

The more expensive the less grassy flavor they say but damn the OOlong is where it is at!
