It's difficult to buy local around here. Especially year round. It can get expensive too. I think the restaurants are getting the best picks, and best prices. They can charge what they want, and still make a profit.

I try to make fresh food as much as possible, but it doesn't always work out.

I've been buying from Aldis and Biglots for awhile now. I eat a lot of packaged food, but it isn't too bad all things considered. I love canned vegetables; better than fresh in some cases, and better than frozen in all cases. Probably the worst thing I eat is prepared meats. I've never bought an actual cut of meat from the store, but I'm a big fan of sausages and Spam. I wish veggie burgers were cheaper, cause I love them, but it's just too much money to eat them regularly.
