A warning to snuson members with lawns

Below is a chainmail I got, I checked it on Snopes.com and it's true. It was orriginally put out by the Sheriff in some small county because kids kept blowing their fingers off.

Apparently, if you take a plastic waterbottle, fill it with half drano, half water, and put some aluminum foil in there, you can leave it on someones lawn and as soon as they pick it up to throw it out it explodes on them, obliterating their fingers and messing up their face.

Checked it out ... true story! Please share with your friends and family.
    Stay safe and alert.

DON'T PICK UP WATER BOTTLES - Please Read!
    Halloween is coming. Be careful

Of course I’d pick up a bottle in my front yard or in the mailbox. Wouldn’t you? But not anymore, thanks to this email Pass this on to everybody you know... Anybody that sees a plastic bottle in their yard would think nothing of picking it up to throw it away.

It looks like these things are starting to pop up around the U.S. Check the Snopes web site below, it's pretty scary.

Important warning! NOT A JOKE! Pay attention to this.

    1. A plastic bottle with a cap (Like a normal water bottle).
    2. A little Drano.
    3. A little water.
    4. A small piece of foil.
    5. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM (Less than 30 seconds)!!
    6. No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc. People are finding these bombs in mailboxes and in their yards, just waiting for someone to pick it up intending to put it in the trash.

It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the thing.

Check this out on Snopes. It is true.

Send it to everyone on your mailing list, I did and it won't hurt to get it several times.

I did check out snopes and not only is it true, it shows and tells more about it.

We used to make those. But we never set em as traps we just used em as cheap homemade fireworks. WTF is going on with these kids nowadays?

Thanks for the heads up, this could be serious if unknown.

I also made a few of these in my youth with glass pop bottles, acid drain cleaner and comet. shake them up and throw them far away. There is a cement wall in my home town that still has the pop bottle cap & glass embedded in it from about 20 years ago. I also emailed this to family and friends.
