Looks like a hell of a buffet to me.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Maybe this should be added to the list..

Harvard warns students about Four Loko

      By Globe Staff

Harvard University officials are warning students about a potent new drink containing both alcohol and caffeine called Four Loko.

"We strongly recommend that members of the Harvard community do NOT drink Four Loko and urge your friends to do the same," Harvard officials wrote to students in an e-mail last week.

The e-mail said that dozens of college students around the country, including students from Harvard, had needed medical treatment after drinking the beverage.

College and health officials nationwide are concerned about the new drink. They say the caffeine masks the effects of the alcohol so the full effect of the alcohol takes drinkers by surprise.

      Phusion Projects LLC
, the company that makes the drink, has argued that drinking alcohol and caffeine together has been done safely for years. It also says that it markets its products responsibly and only to those of legal drinking age.

I agree that coffee is missing in the list.

        Cheers!

I doubt coffee alone even qualifies for the list as far as being a menace
to the individual or to society. Plus, recent research has shown that
many positive attributes of coffee far outway any negatives.

The reason for the caution for Four Loko is that "the caffeine masks the
effects of the alcohol so the full effect of the alcohol takes drinkers by
surprise"; "dozens of college students around the country ... had
needed medical treatment after drinking the beverage."

Plus, without my morning coffee I'd have to find an equally
          pleasurable and stimulating beverage.

IF Four Loko actually tasted good, I think it's genius. Even when I go out with my friends, I don't usually drink because it just makes me sleepy. Being sleepy makes me cranky. I'm much more uninhibited and fun without alcohol. The caffeine may help combat the sleepy effect. I will have to check this out.

I've had that four loko a few times with no ill effects. However, If I have one of those, I will only have a couple of beers after that, and I have been drinking long enough to know my limits. You have to realize that the alcohol content of one of those is the same as three or four drinks and compensate accordingly, or you will get bit.

The same can't be said for college kids and thus the warnings.
Now we just wait for the FDA to get involved!!

One glass of wine usually puts my wife straight to sleep.

It's obvious that alcohol is causing great harm. I don't know how any right thinking citizen can stand by and watch the carnage and mayhem this evil vile substance is causing. The time for action is now. I'm calling for a repeal of the repeal on alcohol prohibition.

Not I. While I recognize the great harm caused by alcohol, Prohibition caused even greater harm.

Same with drug illegalization. Consider all the murders and crime and prisons. It's worse of an impact on society than the drug itself.

Well now.... I do hope you recognized my statement as satire as that's what it was. I guess in todays environment of fanaticism as the norm it's easy to get confused

I love alcohol! If alcohol is wrong, I don't want to be right!
