Im not entirely convinced that ed schultz isn't just rush limbaugh after hes had an extra value meal or two plus some makeup. Hes such a fat blowhard who does nothing but bang the party drum all night. I already know what hes going to say before he says it.
Anyways, lol @ the yawner in chief. He looks scared and out of his comfort zone. Can we stop electing these weak presidents?
Oh, and enjoy the west joe, that's the worst part of the union anyways. The republicans pained the map red yesterday.

Couldn't watch the entire thing because that guy is such a moron, but I agree with what Obama is trying to do. He's trying to bring this country together, which is what we need. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Unless we can work together to solve our problems, things will only get worse, nothing will ever be accomplished, and the country will continue to go down the toilet, and all of us along with it.

Edit: The insurance companies have no competition, in other words. With a public option, they would have had some competition, which they didn't want. So, until there's a public option, we will continue to see our health insurance costs go up. That's what made it worthless, because he gave up on the public option in order to get the stupid thing passed.

You guys, obama is doing the smart thing to do here.
When republicans last took congress by storm, under clinton, clinton moved closer to the center and worked a little closer with republicans than he did before. It worked better than when the dems were saying no to everything the repubpicans wanted, and maybe he can convince the republicans to say something other than "no" back.
Also, theres some big ticket items that are going to need voting on here pretty soon. If obama can get the republicans to come even close to looking like they had some part in it, than they will be forced to shoulder some of the blame.
See, when obamas plan doesnt work and the economy continues to suck, and it comes time to pay the piper for all this spending, the democrats are going to be solely to blame. They wouldnt budge for republicans, and republicans said "no" to everything. So whos fingerprints are going to be all over the wreckage in a year as things continue to collapse? The dems of course. So he wants to bring the reps in so it may be percieved that they had something to do with all of these terrible initiatives hes set into motion that likely wont work.

Dems werent even behind the public option, they didnt drop it because of republicans. They didnt need republicans vote, they can do whatever they want. Obamas main support was from health insurance companies and big pharma, and in my opinion the insurance companies were the ones who killed it.
The dems have not budged for republicans. They wouldnt even take illegals or federal spending on abortion out of the bill, even though they reatedly claimed they would.

I agree with the football analogy. Youve got people rallying for one team just because its the home team. And the outcome of the game is always the same, and always happens within the same time period. One team loses, they come back next year and win. Meantime we are running out of potable water and fertile land to grow crops on, whilst we just wasted the last century watching the game on our bigscreens.

So in your opinion, Why didn't a single payer bill get passed. Just so you know there was nothing the republicans could have done to stop any legislation in the las 2 years. I am all for a single payer system rather than what we got. I mean really he had no problem pushing thru tarp and bailouts, what stopped them for doing the one thing that would have been good for this country. Obama will go down as one of the worst presidents ever, mark my words......
