Silent treatment: Olbermann wouldn’t even talk to boss

No one tells the great Keith Olbermann what to do — not even his boss!
The liberal gasbag demanded that he answer to no one at Current TV — whose founders eventually fired him — to the point that the president of the network couldn’t get even “one word” in with Olbermann, insiders told The Post.
Instead, Current TV President David Bohrman had to go through the star’s manager, Michael Price — who said Olbermann should be referred to as a “ ‘performer,’ not a news anchor or reporter,” a network insider said.

Whoa - this entire ordeal is a load of horseshit. Any public figure should be allowed to support whoever he wants. He might be a public figure but he is also a human being, and human beings have the right to have opinions.
If people aren't smart enough to generate their own opinions and base it entirely upon the words and actions of a single individual they shouldn't watch TV.
He has the right to spend money whatever way he wishes and support whoever he wants to support. I do not find that it is fair to confine a man's ideology to his own head simply because he works for a Network. He is allowed to openly support a candidate if that candidate speaks for his ideology and ideals.
Call me old fashioned but I demand that any man, regardless of political views, financial situation, race or religion, has the right to express his opinion if it is done in an orderly and polite manner. I don't find that one should be yelling racist slurs - but this individual should be allowed to express his concerns even if I don't agree with it. Also, one shouldn't try to convert others to his ideology, but let's be fair, Olbermann didn't exactly say that everyone who disagreed with him were fools - he simply expressed his opinions, and even in such a simple matter as donations to a campaign.
Again ; This is nothing but a load of horseshit.

His popularity grew with calling out the Bush atrocities but then Obama comes in with continuation and Olbermann acts like he can do no wrong. This is pretty much the general failure of the Dems in my eyes with not pushing at all for reversing what the Rep's did over two terms.

At least with Rush, Orielly, and Maddow you know for a fact which team they are playing for and they are not trying to hide it like Olbermann was. His whole brand was being the neutral player.

When you are not taken serious anymore then you are finished.

Out of an estimated 30 million viewers tot he Current Tv station, he only gets 30k hits a show. But he gets paid something like 10 million dollars for leading the show. It's just not a good return on investment. Out of 300 million people, 30 million of which watch this network, only 30 thousand pay attention to him. It's too much of a niche, they aren't making any money off it. Time to go. End of story.

            Keith Olbermann Sues Current TV
TMZ ^ |Keith Olbermann has just sued Current TV for firing him ... TMZ has learned.

Keith filed the lawsuit moments ago in L.A. County Superior Court -- claiming he was wrongfully terminated from the network last Friday.
Olbermann is reportedly suing for breach of contract, sabotage and disparagement.
Sources tell TMZ, the lawsuit contains a reference to an email from Current TV President David Bohrman, in which Bohrman admits "the 33rd street studio [where Keith's show was filmed] is never going to be a professional facility. We are paying for a Porsche [the studio] and getting a Yugo [a notoriously crappy car]."
After he was fired, Olbermann complained about how Current TV was being managed while he worked for the network -- telling David Letterman, Current was a "ragtag operation" that couldn't afford him.
Al Gore -- the network's co-founder -- released a vague statement after firing Olbermann, claiming they let Keith go because he was disrespectful and disloyal to viewers.

Did anyone see his most recent interview? He is like "If you have a 10 million dollar beautiful chandelier, you can't do anything with it without a nice house, and current Tv was not a nice house for me, the 10 million dollar chandelier". Cocky bastard.

If you thought that was cocky, you should see the lawsuit:
