    I got fired today!!

Yeah, it's true, and weird. But it only confirms things I have been thinking. First of all, I'm kinda glad, as I HATED this job, it was the worst job I ever had. My main regret, is I kept thinking I should quit. I just dreaded every day going there. It was a big cause of depression too. Now, I worked for "the government", and I swear, this was the most corupt, incompetent, and I think evil place I ever worked for. Now, I am thinking they conspired to fire me. I was hired as a simple clerk, I was not a specialist, or anything fancy, but we recently got a new boss, and she is a fanatic about the crap we deal with they call their careers, these people I worked with with fanatical nuts, and would stay like 4 hours past the time off because they LOVED it so much, and I couldn't wait to leave. I've been sick, with a bad cold or something, so I made a Dr appt today, and I missed like 4 days work last week, but this is all fine, because we have sick hours that build up, for when you are sick, and I did not overuse them or anything. Their "reason", was extensive internet usage. Yep, and it's a joke. It's a joke, and I believe underhanded, and uncooth for a few reasons. One, I've been there almost 4 years, never been any disciplinary or attendance problem. My anual employee review was always positive. Never had any issue. And yes, I di play on the internet a lot, and never made a secret of it. The nutty thing is, my job does not NEED the internet at all, so why did I even have it? While I had the most mind decaying brain deteriorating job ever, hating every day, it was being able to play online that keep me going. Damn, I wish I'd quit. So, this is where I think, I was done wrong. They have been voyering my internet action, for almost 4 years, of course it's gonna be a lot, heck, I thought everyone played online, I am sure most do, never been a problem employee, then, without warning, they fire me! It's crazy, and my beef is, why did they never say anything ever! Why did they never give me a warning of some such? I can understand a problem worker, using anything to fire them, but I was not that. I was never told anything. My boss when I started never cared if we played online, and the one after her.... Something is just not right. I'm going to appeal, but I can't go back to that, I had moral conflict working there as it was. But I do feel I was done wrong, which only confirms my thinking the "government" is evil, and how can one care about a place that does not care about you. Well, I am glad I have stashed away a decent savings, I have paid all my old debts off. And I will apply for unemployment, which I hope they don't try and fight me with that. It's enough to drive one mad. I want to see this as being free from the evil, and a new door will open, and I am glad I live with my wife who works so I won't end up in the street or taking a plane to Afganistan.

Thanks. What I hate is how the evil did their evil to me, but I am glad to be free of it's evil clutch. I do hope I can find a better job, but seriously, I hated this job so much, I'd rather work at McDonalds.

Anytime in my life that I dreaded going in to work, I would quit.

So yeah I had a lot of different jobs in my illustrious career.

Maybe you'll luck into a job you love and this was the catalyst to make you open to accepting it. I believe everything happens for a reason.

I was really depressed working there and even considering Paxil, and all I'd do is wish 2012 would hurry up, I was so miserable and dreading that place. I am glad to be freed from that misery, but I am a bit irked, cuz I think their evil ways screwed me over, and I was an idiot because I actually cared about my job(what a dolt).

Bummer Tom. I am willing to bet that Tex is correct that this may open a better door for you. hang in there. Hitler would be proud.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I'm pretty sure the nazi's found out you were foiling their evil plans on the internet so they got you fired lol. Sarcasm aside, I hate to hear such bad news from yet another snuson family member. Just be proactive in looking for another job and you should be okay. There is still work out there, but it's just harder to find. Stick in there bro!

Also lol@ the fact it was for excessive internet usage. I'll just leave this right here:

Edit: Oh shit, it's the snuson top-poster curse! The top two are unemployed, the third went crazy, and i'm 4th! Oh shit!

They could have given you a chance, explained the situation before firing you out of the blue, like a decent employer would.
Something better will come along for you man. F**k em.

I agree. the whole thing about not even mentioning this thing that could get you fired, before actually firing you, really reeks.

Ive never been in a situation where something much better didnt come out of something I thought to be so scary and horrible (when it happened). I lost the job before the one I have now and i thought it was the end of the world, but this one turns out to be 20 times better and all the folks at my old place are miserable. this is a chance to follow your passion and do what YOU want to do. Do as Twain said ---turn your vacation into your vocation. Youll get what you deserve, bro. (that wasnt a threat).
