That sucks. I've know people that had to drill their nails, but so far I've come away mostly clean. Every time I've messed up a finger, it's either been off to the side, or it didn't produce a large blister under the nail.Comment

I did this trying to open a roll off garbage hopper. It wasn't cool, not only did I turn black and blu I had a cut on the other side and it wasn't from an edge it was an impact split. My middle finger on my right hand has been a bain to my existence for nearly a week now, but i have to say the prognosis is better now than 2 hours ago....... At least it feeals better......Comment

Ouch. Last time I did that I actually punched a few holes in the nail while creating the blood blister so it all worked out for me and didn't have to do the sugery. I slammed my finger in a potato spiral cutter with the weight of the motor creating the impact.
I recommend the hole in the nail. It took like forever to grow out though.Comment
