Clockwork Orange - partly because it is one of my favorite books.
    M - Peter Lorre Rules
Casablanca - Every scene/frame of that movie could be a production still, and again Peter Lorre rules.
Ben Hur - Heston version, hey I like the movie.
Citizen Kane - as a movie geek I am required by law to include this in all best of lists.
    Cool Hand Luke
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
    Dr Strangelove

There is a starter lists from the more "classic" list.

      Clerks & Anchorman.

Two best movies of all time.

      Just my two cents.

I always have to duck my head when I say this but Mallrats is still one of my favorite Kevin Smith films. I mean I like them all but that one is truly my guilty pleasure viewing.

I don't watch many movies as I'm not much into the visual medium. For modern movies, I try to make a point of seeing Tim Burton films, at least the more fanciful ones. I like old movies, and try to catch some silent films on occasion. Buster Keaton is a favorite of mine.

A friend of mine is really into film, and if he recommends something to me, I'll generally watch it. I saw Mirror Mask, and Pans Labyrinth that way, and they were both big time winners.

Pan's Labyrinth is an absolutely amazing movie. I was avoiding getting to into some of the modern era movies in my list but that movie is a true great and anyone who likes movies should see it.

I like horror movies and westerns (strange combination, I know). I wonder if they make a western horror movie? My favorites so far:

Bram Stoker's Dracula (love Winona Ryder in the Victorian garb)
Any Clint Eastwood Western (Especially The Outlaw Josey Wales for the chaw spittin')
                            The Strangers
                            The Blair Witch Project
                            The Exorcist
Halloween the Original and Rob Zombie's remake
