Man i just finished a weekend long 80's movie marathon.

    Logans run
    Demolition man
    Blade runner
    The running man
    Farenheight 451
    The last starfighter
    And a bunch of others.

Movies back then were better, and people had real skills. Like for example how arnold schwartzenneger managed to go for a full two hours during running man without saying anything other than one liners? I mean no full sentences, just cheesy one liners... And it STILL kicked ass.

Has anyone seen "RED" yet? Is it any good?

And let us through District 9 out there as Red Letter Media so aptly showed it is a masterpiece vs avatar when it comes to story telling. They made the audience empathize with a disgusting cockroach looking creature who at no point can you ever understand. Avatar made you fall in love with blue disney-eyed porn that appealed to everyone's mental illusion of the noble savage.

It is a truly great movie. The funny thing is at first I was thinking I made a bad choice when I rented it but as I got into it I was just amazed.

Ah, one of my favorite movies! The only movie I would put above that would have to be the Boondock Saints

Good Fellas' - Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci

Going to watch GoodFellas' again tonight
Oh, man, there are so many great movies I don't know how I can limit a list to just a few.

My favorite DeNiro movie has got to be Raging Bull. I really enjoyed Avatar, but I don't think I would include it on a list of greats. Certainly very entertaining, though.

Some of my top favorites over the past few years have been Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Sling Blade, No Country for Old Men, and Apocalypto. Crazy Hearts with Jeff Bridges was depressing, but superb.

Again, there are really too many to try to mention, especially if I had to go back to the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
