As far as the trickling of documents goes. Wikileaks explained why it does so here: http://cryptome.org/0003/wikileaks-7x.htm
..Wikileaks has released substantial scoops recently without using an embargo pool and all have been unreported....
http://cryptome.org/ is an interesting site. They mirror Wikileaks documents but they also have articles critical of Wikileaks.

...According to Der Spiegel, just over half of the cables are not subject to classification, 40.5 percent are classified as "confidential" and only 6 percent or 15,652 dispatches as "secret." It says the release contains 4,330 messages which are not meant for foreigners...
...About 2.5 million U.S. employees have access to SIPRNET material, from where these cables apparently reached Wikileaks. It is accessible from specific computers that are located in the operation centers of the defense department, said the posting revealing that registration procedures and the need for password change approximately every 150 days. Even "top secret" material, which is not in Wikileaks release or not reportedly in possession of the whistleblower, is available to about 850,000 Americans, it said...

Assange's just doing what an honest press corps would be doing if we had one.
Re; Col.Quadaffi, they say he's strange and then make mention of the fact that he has a blond ukranian "nurse" as though it supports their allegation? Seems pretty normal to me, if she was a brunette he would claim her as a "niece" no doubt. LOL!

Julian Assange Has The Files For Every Single Prisoner In Guantanamo
Leaked cable shows how closely the US cooperated with China to sink the Copenhagen climate summit. Thanks, Wikileaks. Wouldn't have known this without you.
"Why is it that most people in the U.S. and elsewhere are not disturbed in the slightest that, despite abundant evidence, American officials who apparently committed heinous crimes...will not be investigated...while WikiLeaks founder Assange...is hunted to the ends of the Earth?"
WikiLeaks supporters, on some level, are willing to accept the most drastic outcomes from the free flow of information, including the downfall of the American government in its current form. And that would be a good thing.

How different countries in the world have reacted to Wikileaks:
The Guardian - After 12 days of WikiLeaks cables, the world looks on US with new eyes
Watching the protests/riots over tuition hikes in the UK and the Wikileaks protests makes me wonder if it's 1968 all over again.

I've been telling you it was all rotten since I joined. I used to just be called a silly liberal, but now that it's all gathered in one place, you guys seem to be catching on to what I was saying before. Let it all burn, there's no point trying to save a tree which has a rotted core. As the saying goes, "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s." Caesar is simply getting his due with this. We live in what shall soon become the world's newest third world nation, and it will happen through the machinations and artifices of our political and economic elite, ever intent on tightening their stranglehold over all things which they feel could damage their goals. The time is approaching for either a rebirth through radical and far reaching revolution, or else gradual descent into irrelevance and poverty. Both are painful, but only one offers an imminent opportunity to regain what we've lost. Shipwreck is everywhere.
