Apocalypse Now: What the Millionaire Tax Cut Costs - Increase Deficit 1 Trillion

Obama's Tax Cut Deal: So Much For Deficit Reduction

    http://www.npr.org/2010/12/07/131879...uction?ps=cprs

Extending the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy will eventually produce a $700 billion federal budget deficit and dry up federal aid to local governments.

Yah, between tax cuts and unemployment benefits extension, this whole thing is going to cost a lot. I'm tired of hearing "dry up federal aid to local communities" though. The feds have been wasting trillions, it's difficult to blame this one thing for drying up funds that could be used in a more productive manner.

        LOL @ the Republicans. Seriously guys, L. O. L.

Did Obama just pull a double-reverse whammy? GOP senator thanks the president for rolling over on the tax deal, but now worries some Republicans won't vote for it for fear of appearing to give Obama something he wants

This graphic sums it up best:

End the Drug War and cut off funding for the local SWAT teams that use tanks
and 100 armed men for a domestic disturbance or pot bust.

I agree end the war on drugs. I don't think it's too often that they dispatch the tanks for a pot bust or some guy beating his wife though. At least not in CA, but I realize that it is way different here. Pot is decriminalized and you can't go to jail for it unless someone is really out to get you because you banged the governors daughter or something.

The problem is that the drug cartels will continue to flourish until total legalization takes out their profit.
Once large scale domestic growing and distribution is legal the drug cartels will be undercut as far as
price. I think the deaths of 30,000 Mexican citizens in the last few years is a good reason for total legalization.
Perhaps the cartels paid to stop Prop 19.
