Unless you never watched TV during the campaign, and Obama's win, you can't deny is was majorily about race, which lasted a long time. I still think for him, being rather young, nice looking, well spoken, and "black", he was attractive on many levels(not like Jesse Jackson). But if he was a nobody with minimal experience(like Obama), but a "white guy", he would not have gotten the media hype, nor the praise of Oprah, and her millions, and millions of disciples. For me personally, I did not vote Obama, but not because of his tone, but he was a nobody with no experience, Palin had more experience than him. But I will say, if Colin Powell had run, he would have had my vote.

It's all a big game. Bush set the expiration dates on these tax cuts during an election year just so we would be having this fight. now they are extended to the next election year so we can have this fight again. What a bunch of BS politics...

Total bologni. Please tell us why it is a good idea to allow the tax cut's to expire during a great recession? How is more financial strain going to help struggling working families?

This should in my opinion of been a non-issue in the current economy but the vote on extending more unemployment for the 99' weekers (given up looking for work) could of been a great political media debate weeks ago for the democrats but now it is close to xmas and nobody really cares.

Great move Obama, now go back to your basketball game. Watch out for elbows!
