Nonstop rain in Southern California triggers accidents and mudslides
CALIFORNIA – It has been a two-day downpour since Saturday totaling as much as seven inches that has triggered scores of accidents and a few minor mudslides and the National Weather Service predicts more rain is predicted through the upcoming week.
Stuart Seto of the National Weather Service said a new storm is expected on Tuesday and last through Wednesday.
Seto said the real impact of the storm could come later in the week when hillsides are saturated with rain and the possibility of mudslides and flash floods would seriously increase.
“After a brief break at the end of the week, more rain was likely to arrive on Christmas Day,” Seto said.
