crap, i got logged out making this post
damn, the post about stealing from the rich people is on the internet sgreger1, ya better go back and edit that stuff or you'll be in trouble after the darkness. (;
i'm reading the stuff here, here's another 2 pennies -
there will be no commerce, and certainly not for what we call "cash". there will just be taking and giving at first. just those 2.
the defensive forces of our nation are hardened to a certain degree and will survive in some proportion. essential "national security" resources. the sole purpose of these resources that remain is the survival of our nation. make no mistake, there will be deterioration of our forces in uniform. there will be no "calvary" coming to the rescue, for a very long time survival will depend on the community's structure. when the community breaks down then we are below the stone age. we are not human if we have no community, remember this.
this is not the end of the world. this world has been through these uncounted times, many times stronger than what i believe we will see. it is only a natural event and it's prudent to keep that thought. what this is affects only mankind on this earth, and even then only in the mechanisms of our species. that's all. mechanisms.
it is our morality that will be brought into the forefront, our humanity in the darkness. remember this.
the global impact of the emp is dependent on it's duration. as the earth revolves after the first arrival of the emp nations will be affected accordingly. it's a toss of the dice on this. say it hits china first and the initial burst lasts for 3 hours, then we over here get lucky because that's the other side of the world. the problem with this rosy scenario is that there is going to be more than one storm so don't get all happy.
k, i'm gonna go bonzo on you guys now -
this is the end of days we are approaching. god is the universe, and the universe has storms. this is not judgment day save in the sense of the morality of how we react in the face of a normal solar hurricane. it's an end of days in how our lives had become.
- end of bonzo.
there are 4 things, and 4 things only, that are necessary for survival of community. water, food, defense, and shelter. the rest of the stuff you can chalk up to living standards.
jeeze, i can't see a preview button so i'm cutting this post short. the prudent thing is to bring up the subject of this thread with your family and friends, to not be blindsided by an 18 hour warning that it is the end of days as we know them. i hate that i became aware of this impending solar activity, to me it's weird that it's happening at the same time as the mayan bullshit, but what the f' do i know.
wanted to throw in that there will be virtually no borders between countries when it hits, there's no way to monitor them. there won't be the supporting infrastructure to maintain patrols on long borders, hell, what are the soldiers going to do, walk 'em? they are just human, many with families. as a month or so moves down the road these people are going to want to see their wives, husbands, children.
this is really bleak what i'm painting here, but the 1859 event, if extrapolated to our times, would have the effect of what i describe. bet on it.
