The general American sentiment on any tobacco-related board is that of angry reactionary conservatives because their 'baccy is getting taxed, or they need a scapegoat for their financial ruin, etc. This causes a lot of deeply buried racist beliefs surfacing and it's pretty disgusting.

As an angry reactionary conservative, I can assure you I am not opposed to the levy of taxes on anything (in moderation). I know we need roads and police and a host of other services. What I am opposed to is new government programs in a time when we as a nation have a negative balance of holy shit thats a big number. Spending is what I am opposed to. Stop tacking on 200 pages of nonsense into every bill that goes through our lawmaking system. Its like buying votes (and I know both sides are currently guilty of this)

Thats what I want, less wasteful spending, and therefore less taxes for everyone (yes even on the rich)

As far as being a racist, I am not racist. I am afraid. I am afraid of Muslims. I am afraid of being alone in a room full of black people (I have good reason for this) If I was racist I would have to hate them. If green aliens landed here on my front lawn and I ran away in fear... am I racist towards the little green men? What if they want to eat me, or shoot me with a laser?

I try not to bash Muslims, as I know many, if not most, are decent regular people. The problem I have is wth the large impacting element of extremist Islam in today's world, when the father kills the daughter because she put lipstick on, or the Muslim woman who puts a bomb vest on under her burkha and goes into a crowded shopping center, all in the name of Islam.

I have stated many times, I like Quranic Islam, the Quran Only branch, which states what is wrong with the more popular Hadithic Islam, which uses hadith for it's terror reasoning, along with wanting sharia.

If one sees their Islam as their personal faith, and respects other's right to practice their path, even those who wish to convert from Islam, I am fine with it.
