Of course this will be politicized to no end, especially by democrats looking to stop the tide of libertarian and conservative advances on their currently held positions. Anything to deflect attention from themselves and onto that evil, wicked "Tea Party." They want to curb spending and have a realistic economic model, you know. Those heretics!

Keep your head in the sand and follow the fascists.

Ramblings of the shooter from youTube Video

Then Loughner shifts his discussion to the “new currency.” The writings are nonsensical.
“Every human who’s mentally capable is always able to be treasurer of their new currency. If you create one new currency then you’re able to create a second new currency. If you’re able to create second new currency then you’re able to create third new currency. You create one new currency. Thus, you’re able to create a third currency.”
That video also was posted Dec. 15.
On Nov. 30, Laughner apparently posted a rant about the education he is getting at Pima Community College. He writes that the classes and grades offered there are unconstitutional. "If the police remove you from the educational facility for talking then removing you from the educational facility for talking is unconstitutional in the United States."

He just seems mixed up to me, and not an adherent of any defined political stance. I wonder if he was on any psych meds?

Yea, he's just some whack-a-doo, and anyone trying to read more into it is as confused as he was.

The Southern Poverty Law Center dude just linked him to the Radical Right
on special edition of Keith Olbermann.

He said his writings are obviously that of a nut but have a common
thread. Yes his reading list has stuff left and right. However the common
thread is anti-government. The SPLC guy said that his talk of currency is
a radical right thing. Also grammer control a radical right idea. Then he
mentions something about conscience shifting or something. Apparently
also radical right stuff of the British nut David Icke.

One of his top books of the right:
            Ayn Rand

Sarah Palin Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in crosshairs.

Is the target map that Sarah Palin published, showing Gabrielle Giffords' Congressional District under the cross hairs of a gun, relevant to press coverage of the shootings today in Arizona?

One former high school friend Tweeted about knowing the accused gunman:

"He was a pot head and into rock, like Hendrix, The Doors, Anti-Flag," she wrote. "I haven't seen him in person since 2007 in a sign language class. As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal and oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy. He had a lot of friends until he got alcohol poisoning in 2006 and dropped out of school. Mainly a loner, very philosophical."
His YouTube video is an incoherent mess. It's embeded on the KTLA webpage linked above.

That don't sound very TeaParty to me.

and what's this crap no sooner do you say you wish you could change the headline then.. you turn right around and blame the TeaParty again.

Here's the thing Joe, Nobody was talking about Sarah Palin here let alone published her whatever here. Deflecting your stupidity by pointing out anothers is not a valid argument. Doesn't olberman have a fan site where you need to preside as president and leave us all alone? For God's sakes man......

CNN just asked about the Sarah Palin link. it's not just me.
Of course Fox won't look at any links.

CNN would report on a squirrel farting outside the studio. They aren't exactly the paragon of journalism.

A lone gunman described as “pot-smoking loner” with politically-left tendencies shot Gifford and at least 12 others, killing at least six, including a 9-year-old boy and a federal judge.

OK, you win. No one was shot and there was no motive if they were shot.
Blame it on a lone nut. When was the last time a Republican was shot by
a lone nut in this manner?
