Never seen it in the supermarket.
Well it won't be called throwback in Romania, it'll be just plain old Pepsi there. Throwback means they are just reverting back to the original formula that used to use cane/beet sugar. You guys never made the switch to HFCS so you've got nothing to throwback to.

I feel sorry for you americans... Here, if a soda isn't marketed with "Zero", "Light" or "Diet", it contains pure sugar. Strange that Coca-Cola's home country is the only country where the original recipe isn't being used. I understand why there's so much Mexican coke on ebay.

I think it has something to do with the GM Corn lobby. Corn or some form of it is in almost everything. Might even be in Camel SNUS!

Hehe, yeah. Everything is just business nowadays. If a company can cut the costs, they'll do it, even though it'll harm their products. People are buying them anyway!

That's the worst part of the largest companies ... they can literally sell canned shit and still earn big bucks..

IKEA actually is one of the few large companies that never sells poor quality products ...

Even if it's a $30 bed it might last more than a $2000 luxury one

I think that not using "Limited Time Only" would capture something. There are many people who might buy this product that don't regularly drink soda. Maybe it's nostalgia but whatever...there's a good possibility that many of those people might buy it and not consume it all before the run ends. They might go back to that aisle in the store searching for the throwback product not thinking that it was a short run. By the time they get there and look at all the sodas their brain may very well be programmed into buying "a" soda. I'd put my money on a small number of people purchasing regular Pepsi after this run if this is the case. After all, it's about building sales anyhow. if Pepsi Co. would increase their sales by 1% that would probably be a pretty big win. Sure, if it sells well then they wouldn't have to reformat packaging to remove the limited time only label.

I wonder why they didn't print "No High Fructose Corn Syrup"...probably pressure from Coke or others.
I don't like regular pepsi and consider myself a coke person. But the big difference to me is more mouth feel more than anything. The real sugar pop doesn't seem to coat my mouth like HFCS soda does.......

Cane sugar is about 52% more than HFCS and the price in the US fluctuates more. It's all about the profit I think and the changes in HFCS (now termed "Corn Sugar") are smaller than those of refined sugar. It's easier for the companies to absorb the differences. And then there's the government subsidies...

On a totally different note, I think much of Ikea stuff is crap.

There's a gas station here that sells it. I pick some up when I can. It's like 1.59 a bottle

But I totally can't tell the difference. Not that I drink much soda anyway. But try a side-by-side deal - this will cost you $1 or so.

Maybe my mouth is broken from years of HFCS.
It's not so much the taste tho it seems to bite less than pepsi hfcs to me. But the real difference is after drinking, like I said it is less of that after film that happens with hfcs........

The Throwback Mountain Dew with the hillbilly can is by far the best. That's apparently even more old school because that one has a wonderful hint of orange juice.
