    Wholly crap - 2400?

I mean you guys would be better of going in debt after all ...

Instead of paying $2400 and flushing the money down the toilet it's better to pay for a house and get in debt I suppose... that's huge money to pay for a rent.

30 years is long time to commit to that kind of payment. The houses around here are $500,000 and up. Plus I wouldn't qualify and don't have $100,000 down payment.

Some of the suburbs like where my parents live went up and back down 30% for the price of a house. It's tempting to move back and buy one for $100,000.

don't do it. Cali is the land of fruits and nuts.

        yea...........I'm lookin at you sgreger

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Levels of corruption in the U.S. vary between say New orleans or chicago than say seattle. Some stuff is borderline but not illegal like making political contributions and asking for favors like a new ice rink that's payed for in an earmark.

I would like to move to New York and settle there...

            But I'm a bit of a spender... Wouldn't do it without maybe 60K - 80K a year income...

California is nice too, never been there though..

Probably if I'd find a decent well paid job with my additional income I would make the change...
