I'm reading a book about early Ameriac culture, and the conclusion is pretty much that nohing has changed. The traditional family has always been degrading, people have always been doing drugs, people have always been calling the president a nazi/commie/socialist/prodestant etc.

Breakdown of traditional families: always been there. Prostitution and adultery were much more proliferant before America won it's independence.

Kids having kids: Through most of human history, women were married and made to bear children almost as soon as they hit puberty. Waiting till your 30 to have a kid is a very recent development.

Junk Culture: Everyone always thought everyone elses culture was junk culture. the enlightening was seen by junk culture to many. They were more traditional catholics and felt that to study science was the same as how a conservative sees a hippy. People don't like things changing, but things always change, and everyone always complains about it, so nothing ever changes

prescription drugs: You think prescription drugs are bad? The world had to live with homeopathic nonesense for 10 thousand years before we even developed anti-biotics. I am sure the side effects were equally as devestating back then.

Schools being run like prisons: We're lucky to even have national (or any) schools. Educating the masses is also a contemporary concept. But where there were schools, they were also ran like prisons, beatings and all

Really the world is just shit and there is nothing new under the sun, except the same old shit. But yah, froma first hand perspective, it appears that humanity is imploding from wehre i'm standing.I just have to keep telling myself that this is just business as usual and nothign to worry about.
