    2011 Movies

Looks like a big year for movies. Some I'm excited about, some maybe not so much.

    Captain America

Glad to finally see a big budget movie coming, but not sure if The Human Torch was the best choice for Steve Rogers. I hope they don't F it up.

    Thor

Meh. Could be really good or really bad. I hope it is decent.

    Pirates 4

I'm glad they're making another. I love this series. I'm sure it'll rock.

    X-Men First Class

Could be good. I love the X-Men, so I'm hoping they do this right. Though it does feel rushed.

    Green Lantern

I grew up reading this so I'm excited about the movie. Ryan Reynolds seems a good choice, I hope it goes well.

    Transformers 3

I'm super stoked for this, I was a huge Transformers fan growing up, and the inclusion of the Ark in this and the story wrapped around the Space Race is pretty interesting.

    Not 2011, but still cool...

    Bat-Man 3

Though not this year, I did find it interesting that Anne Hathaway is casted as Catwoman.

    Spider Man (3 July 2012)

If at first you don't succeed, reboot, reboot, and reboot again. Curious to see the new direction with this film.

    Avengers (4 May 2012)

    This is going to OWN.

I have to say i am pretty pumped about the new x-men movie. It will be really interesting to see when Xavier and magneto were actually friends and to see how Xavier actually gets in his wheel-chair.
not gonna lie though, I was kind of hoping the next x-men would be a continuation off of x-men 3 when magneto starts to get his powers back.

I'm also extremely excited for the green lantern movie. I would have to say that is one of my favorite comics of all time.

also I saw the hangover 2 was coming out this year! I loved the first one so I have high hopes for number 2!

overal it looks like its going to be a good year for movies!!

I wish mainstream Hollywood would produce more films that are not superhero stories, remakes, or sequels. Anyway, here is a pretty interesting documentary being released in February.

Sorry, that looks boring as hell. I would much rather escape to the fantasy world of Transformers or X-Men or any other mindless blockbuster action movie. I go to movies to escape reality.

i get what your saying.. but that movie doesn't do anything for me. Like coderguy, I tend to go to movies to forget about my life for awhile and escape into a new one. Otherwise why would I pay 13 dollars to see a movie? haha

The original Charlton Heston ones were... meh... but the 2001 Mark Wahlberg version was definitely the best!

                      ... awaiting flames lol
