    Futbol

Hey everyone! didn't see a thread about futbol on here and I was a little suprised! Are there any fellow fans or players on here?

This thread is for any and all discussion about futbol! Post your favorite team, what game you are watching, if you are currently playing on any kind of team somewhere!

If you are a current/former player who did you play for and what was your position?

I played for my varsity high school team as a right wing-back. I also played on many different indoor teams over the years. I almost like indoor as much as I enjoy outdoor. I love the small field because it raises the pace of the game. Also the walls add for a little more physical game which is always enjoyable I starting to play indoor again next week and I am really excited about it!

For the professional level I enjoy watching an MLS game here or there, mostly only if its DC United game though. American soccer just doesn't do anything for me anymore though, its so much slower pace and much less exciting to watch. If I had to pick a favorite international team it would be Spain(and no, I am not on the bandwagon, I have been a fan of Spain for years lol).

Currently I am watching the blackburn rovers vs. west bromwich game. Its a pretty good match so far.

I got sucked into the World cup viewings, but other than that not a fan.
Although it is a waste, since I live like 5 minutes from the Chelsea FC stadium, and often hear the crowd there shout. Maybe I should go to a match sometime.

Yeah, a Norwegian team and our elite series I play central defense, and I follow Vålerenga, one of the three elite series teams from Oslo. they ended up second in the league. The most known Norwegian team outside Norway is Rosenborg. They've reached the quarter finales of the Champions league, the biggest club team tournament in the world. They Are the most succesfull scandinavian team of all times. Their logo

No hockey fans here? I will follow my Penguins through ups and downs, thick and thin.
Hockey is so team orientated and it has a little of every sport.

And I must admit, being Norwegian. I can't stand soccer..

Vålerenga has a kick-ass hockey team.

Yep. But there are lots of Americans and Swedes there. Hockey is much more popular in those countries, so why not make a hockey thread? After all, this topic was meant for soccer

I enjoy watching the matches but there's no hype here for it at least in the northeast.

I played city-league for years. I started as a goalie but ended up playing better and enjoying center halfback more. It's been years since I played. The world cup was something that I watched pretty good though. I would think that Gaelic football would go over well in the US.
