So following the (successfull?) revolution in Tunesia this last week, Egyptians are now rioting, and it is officially being called the start of a revolution. The dictator is there for life, barring some military coup or something, but the revolution has begun.
Many fear that the Muslim Brotherhood will take control of the government once the current regime has fallen, which would be even worse than the dictator ruling the country now.
They have shut down the internet, twitter, and utilized all other obligatory dictatorial information lockdown techniques at their disposal. Some are still getting info out using proxies, similar to what happened in Iran. Apparently the government is way smarter than Tunesia, and has ever gone as far as to broadcast announcements that the government has fallen, in hopes that the protesters will think they won and then they can strike them when they least expect.
