Missing persons, lost treasures, and wanted criminals would be found all the time, because law enforcement and the military would seek out and successfully employ the powers of these able individuals. If your daughter went missing you could look in the phone book because one of these individuals would certainly sell their service. Sure, they can't do it every time, or even most of the time, but they would try, wouldn't they? Where are these people?

This is what i'm talking about though. We have people claiming that they are having these crazy experiences, yet science will not even investigate. They immediately say "Nope, doens't fit within our established paradigm of how things work, not even going to look at it". I don't believe it is the "soul" looking around, because I don't believe we have a soul really.
Here's something for you to experiment....
1) Take your right hand ... strech in out or shake it a little.....
2) Put your palm slowly..... bring it slowly to your forehead...
3) Notice what feeling you get in your stomach (very similar to stomach butterflies)
and I will explain why this happens

I sleep 4 hours per night so .... 3 AM isn't my bedtime

Roo, I don't know the answers to your questions. If quantum physics exists, why is everyone not using quantum computers right now? And if renewable energy exists, why is everyone still using fossil fuels?
Just like these examples, it's not because it's not possible, it's just that people have not been empowered with the tools to do so.
I imagine there are very few people who are actually trained in remote viewing. The military program only lasted 20 years and had only a few dozen guys. Some of them tried doing seminars and shit after they got defunded, but I doubt they have properly trained anyone. At some point the military will declassify the documents on how to properly remote view (I forget what the retention rate is on things like that, probably pretty long), and then perhaps more people can learn.
As for out of body experiences, from what I gather; they can project themselves to far off places, but actually choosing the place is difficult or something. Maybe coderguy can elaborate.

I understand it's easy to laugh roo, but I mean these as serious questions. The military felt that this was successful on a number of occasions, what do you say to that? They just didn't feel it was consistent enough to decide the fate of wars and such. But they all agree that it worked at least once. So if it worked once, than how do you explain it? It wasn't some vague bullshit like "A crane in russia". I have read deeper into this than the wikipedia page, it was by all accounts and descriptions something that could not have been randomly guessed, and this happened on several occasions. Several hundred actually. This is not like that one psychic on TV, these were guys who had a method that worked at least some of the time. They could give you coordinates to an underground bunker in Russia, they could find a downed aircraft etc. But they couldn't do it on command, their success was remarkable but sporadic, so it was eventually defunded after the cold war spending frenzy ended.

I used to be in to this stuff. I urge everyone to check out books and hemi-sync tapes by Robert A. Monroe
WIKI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Monroe
Random Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoZWO...eature=related
Read some of the comments in this youtube video.
I had and used the hemi-sync tapes and with practice they can be great tools.
A lot of people would agree that Robert is the pioneer of OBE's, check out his books too.
There are some techniques explained in one of his first books.

Sgreger1 this one's for you: I had a really shitty lucid dream last night. Let me start by saying I did not try your hand trick at all while awake; I dream lucidly often enough to not try to increase the frequency of such dreams, although I suppose that's not a bad idea. Anyway in my dream I was with my girlfriend. The dream just sucked for reasons I can't remember, things were just creepy and not going my way, when suddenly I looked down at the palms of my hands. My hands were all contorted and the skin on my palms was all bubbly and blistery. I turned to my girlfriend and told her that meant all this was not happening and it was just a dream. Bingo, I was dreaming lucidly. I tried to convince her that she was doing the same and we could change our reality to however we saw fit. So far, pretty cool. But then I decided it was a good time to fly away from all the weird shit that was happening, but I could only float, and only very slowly and usually in the wrong direction. (This is pretty common for me I suppose, trying to fly in dreams but only being able to float and only if I try really hard). Then my girlfriend was gone but I was still trying to control my dream. The only problem was that nothing was going my way, yet I knew that and still was aware I was dreaming! Lol at one point I decided to find some girls who wanted to get fresh, knowing they would want to because it was my dream, but all the girls I approached were not only ugly, they had wet nasty cigarettes hanging out of their mouths! Some of them had a whole mouthful of them. Haha anyway, I just wanted to let you know that the hand trick came into play in my lucid dream, but I couldn't get anything to happen the way I wanted it to. I couldn't fly for shit and the girls were all nasty. I can't believe I'm typing this.
Then I woke up to sleep paralysis. That sucked too.
