I meant to say something about this. Be careful with those ionizers, I don't completely trust them. They put out ozone as a byproduct, which is a highly unstable molecule, and can accelerate oxidation of your cells. I like the way way they smell, but I quit using them awhile ago.

lol, I knew someone would say something. No problem tho. An ionizer is different from an ozone generator. The OZ generator is more dangerous but if used properly its absolutely harmless and is a hell of a lot more effective at killing odors, mold and fungi. Ya just can't be in the room when you are shocking it. Then air it out a bit. Or if you have to run it all the time makes sure its fully adjustable output. But I wouldn't run it all the time either way.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

LOL, I know right. Luckily I didn't coin the phrase. It's true though, that a market of non-descript color will be created as more and more of our tobacco products are banned by the nanny state of the day. I'm to the point now that I'm not anti smoking (never was anti smoking, more pro harm reduction), because I'm still an American and American's should have the right to choose to partake in any activity as long as it doesn't harm others. The anti's will claim that the very reason it should be banned is, because many non smokers don't choose to inhale your second hand smoke. However, we all know that second hand smoke doesn't cause cancer, but per usual that information is squelched to support their argument. We live in a world now, that all facets of the tobacco industry and tobacco users alike need to get together and support our right to use a perfectly legal product.

                  Edit:
I guess I didn't link the appropriate article. That refers to a private complex. Anyway, there's a place in CA that's banned smoking in apartments. I can't be arsed to look it up. I'm tired of looking up tobacco laws.
Not hard to find - all those cities are near me! Sebastopol first and Santa Rosa is trying the same thing. They all banned smoking campus wide at the junior college in Santa Rosa and many businesses around here have even banned smoking in parking lots.

Ah fun my school banned tobacco altogether. Could be a problem with me having 50 cans of snus and 3oz of pipe tobacco, and a bunch of nasal snuff but so far hasn't been there're still smoking sections off campus it's kind of funny I think the penalties for smoking are close to same for smoking weed neither of which are serious (if you have a card for weed of course). I love the no tobacco thing because it's not enforceable unlike smoking no one cares if you're using smokeless tobacco, unless you spit on the floor or leave your tobacco there they can't even tell, I can't see that changing and I can't see anyone being convinced someone else having a dip in their mouth effects them enough to care at least not compared to stuff like oh I don't know crime or the national debt or the wars or any other issue that 99 percent of americans care about more than tobacco.

An apartment that has been smoked in a lot needs more than cleaning, it needs redecorating. That's expensive and time-consuming, and can lose you rental revenue.

It's not law in the UK, but nearly all rental properties have no-smoking clauses these days. It's just the way it is.

As a private landlord myself, I have a no-smoking clause in my tenancy agreements. I can't afford to redecorate between tenancies. Obviously I expect the apartment to be used, but there's enough damage that has to get written off as "everyday wear and tear" to deal with, without having stained ceilings and stinking upholstery to deal with on top of it.
