I Thank them for saving the music scene of the early 2000's!
Music was pretty techno at the time with a bunch of horrible soft grunge/indie/crap rock and the
White Stripes came in and showed them all how it needs to be done.

They were a good band, had some great tracks. There was a time a few years ago you couldn,t turn on the radio without hearing seven nation army.

I see no problem, Jack White will go on to be brilliant anyways, and whatever he did with Meg won't go away.

I really liked the White Stripes. What annoys me I used to see many obscure 2 piece acts at blues festivals similar to the white stripes but who were better musically who never will get the recognition they got I guess they didnt look as cool.

Good band, happy to have seen them live a couple of times. I wasn't a huge fan, but they did what they did with style, and they have some classic tunes in their back catalogue.

Snusify - did you ever see/hear The Immortal Lee County Killers? They had a few floating members, but were mostly a two-piece. They made an amazing noise. I always thought of them as The White Stripes from the dark side

Well at least you didn't get called Kurt Loder over here. Hell, you were so obsessed with the White Stripes this year that even I *might* miss them.

I came across the Stripes pretty late in the game too, and unfortunately never got to see them live.

But they really were terrific. They reminded everybody what was so great about Rock in the first place: It was simple.

They were pretty good. Always sucks to see a good act call it quits. Best of luck to them in the future.

Yea, that's what worked with them. Meg took a lot of crap for her drumming, but it was the simplicity of it that made it so great.
