Connemara (peated) single malt is good if your a fan of Islay Scotches and is usually about £25 a bottle.

      I vote Jameson's. That's my go-to.
Bushmills is Protestant Whiskey. (A little "Wire" reference for you...)
I'd also suggest Tullemore Dew as a bit more affordable option.
Michael Collins is fantastic if you can find it.

I like my brown liquors... Now lemme know when we're talking Bourbons!

EDIT: I just saw Tobakssmak's post with the link... I still like making a Holy War out of it!

I hate Jamesons. Their high end products are alright, but not worth the cost. Their base whiskey is just about undrinkable. It must be 99% grain with only a drop of pot still so they can call it Irish. For a budget whiskey, I like Tullamore Dew. Get the standard bottle instead of the crock to save significant money. Otherwise, I like Red Breast, and Black Bush. Tyrconnell is somewhere in between splitting price and quality.

DEFINITELY! Neat. Ice is for ladies. A nice Guinness to go a long with it.
Damn, I could go for a liquid lunch now.

I would go with Black Bush or the Bushmill 18 yr, though that one can be a little pricey

I'm out of here at 2:00. Hitting the liquor store, stopping by post to pick up my vinyl, driving to Atreyu's house, getting tore up and playing some video games!

It is a bit on the low end, but for the money....I really like it

I would suggest just drinking scotch anyway, lol

Vegan, most of my Irish mates drink it, and these are guys who moan at length about the quality of the guinness served outside of the Emerald Isle. They love the stuff.

Well, hell, if were gonna talk scotch... Johnnie Walker Black, please.
And yeah, while Jameson isn't the absolute top shelf, it deserves its due... There's a LOT worse you can spend more than that $27 on.

If you prefer something akin to a Scotch, go with Jameson's. For something closer to a bourbon, pick Bushmills.

                              Jameson is the shit.

                              My favourite.

Straight is a gift from heaven.

I like Johnnie Walker Black, but prefer Glenfiddich 12yr any day. Have about half a bottle sitting in the kitchen, and I'm thinking it's about time for a drink
