Balamory is great.

What's the story in Balamory? That show is wicked cool. When we are in Ireland the girls can't get enough of it. I found it on PBS here once too. I guess PBS had a run of European shows and they do that from time to time. For the life of them, my kids can't understand why the letter Z is pronounced -zed- though.

My Hero (for adults) is hysterical and there's another one that centers around an old priest. I giggle my butt off.

My 2 year old mostly watches cbeebies shows that probably haven't travelled to the US yet, but she loves things like Mr Maker, Zingzillas, Tinga Tinga Tales and Mr Tumble.

My favourite American import is Yo Gabba Gabba, for the music guests they get. First time I watched that I was gobsmacked - "F'ing hell, that's Biz Markie!"

so much of the stuff in that show was geared toward older people, not perverted or anything just the level of wit in so much of the humor but still enough to appeal to the younger kids

I know what you mean. I sat down and watched the first season within the last year or so for the first time since seeing it as a kid. There were so many jokes that I missed as a kid that I picked up on now. The Simpsons were like that as well. I was 10 when I first started watching them, and going back to the DVDs, it was like watching a brand new show.

All of them are streamed to the TV with no commercials.

I don't think any of them have ever seen a commercial yet.

With all the new animations/characters/dvd's we have, it still makes me smile that my kid likes the old "Tom and Jerry",
(politically incorrect for kids cartoons the best).
