Here's a 3 page article laying out some of the back story. It's pretty interesting. That douche Aaron Barr thought he was whacking a nest of flies, but was surprised when the flies turned out to be hornets :^D

Yah I remember seeing this a few days ago, serves those suckers right. I think Anonymous is 99% a bunch of nobody wannabe 15 year olds who think they are hackers, but I really like the style of some of the more senior members. This whole internet vigilante thing is pretty cool if you ask me, and I support it 100%.

This security firm is probably going to go out of business because of this. How embarrasing to have anonymous come mess you up like that lol. If I were one of their clients I wouldn't trust their security skills.

Not to flog a dead horse, but check out this article. It gives a lot of insight into the immoral government, and private business practices. It's a 3 page article, but insightful, and there's no reason to think these are isolated events. Anonymous has just brought common practices to the forefront...

Faking documents seemed like a good idea, too, documents which could later be "called out" so as to make WikiLeaks look unreliable.
And Barr wanted to go further, pushing on people like civil liberties Salon.com columnist Glenn Greenwald—apparently hoping to threaten their livelihoods. "These are established professionals that have a liberal bent, but ultimately most of them if pushed will choose professional preservation over cause, such is the mentality of most business professionals," he wrote. "Without the support of people like Glenn WikiLeaks would fold."

How bad is the dirt Wikileaks has on Bank of America? The security firm that anyonymous hacked led to the release of a bunch of company emails. The emails detail how bank of america hired security firms to track down people who donate to wikileaks or support them and to "find and intimidate them". It also shows connections to previouse attacks against wikileaks by the government and the DOJ.

Pretty much the DOJ referred bank of America to the goons that it would normally use, and they have been tasking these firms with going out to harrass and intimidate people who support wikileaks. This is going to be a scandal in a month or two, watch. And it's going to be big. Bank of america is going through WAY too much trouble to cover it's ass about whatever wikileaks has on them. It must be juicy.

Read this if you want to hear about corruption:
                  http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/gl...gns/index.html

                  This too: http://blogs.forbes.com/andygreenber...nors/&h=be095/

Wikileaks, Bank of America and Glenn Greenwald: "It was the DOJ that recommended HB Gary to Bank of America. And their actions fit the DOJ's agenda to destroy WikiLeaks. The DOJ will conveniently look the other way."

Very cool.... More power to them.

Sgreger, the 15year olds have to learn somewhere and the senior Members seem like a great example.

Do any of you watch TV? I'm wondering if this is getting reported on, and what the spin is if it is being reported. This kind of thing fascinates me, and while I'm not a bit surprised, I'm loving seeing written down by at least halfway credible organizations. It isn't just some militant in the middle of Montana or something.

From where i'm standing, it would almost appear as though all of the government goons have decided to use their favors with the networks this time. It appears to be getting reported either as a side story, or essentially reported as a story about how hackers are hurting poor bank of america and now this security firm. I have yet to hear the message that bank of america is using mob tactics to suppress information regarding wrongdoings on their part.

Bank of America won't get in trouble for using these security firms to go rough-house people into submission, simply because THEY WERE REFERRED THERE BY THE ****ING DOJ who had used firms such as this in the past to silence people they didn't want talking. So the government has been using these mob tactics for years, I doubt they will open an investigation into bank of america as the finger they point to BofA leaves 4 more fingers pointing bakc in their direction. Expect this story to dissapear.

Eventually assange will release the documents and hopefully it is some juicy shit and not something stupid. I am half expecting something stupid.

Here's some technical details regarding the hack. It's probably boring for most of you, but there's some valuable information to be gained from it regarding the security of your computers, and different accounts...

I think this whole thing is better than any movie or Tv series I can think of. This is an uncensored view into the world of big players trying to make money. You see a firm that has this certain image, and you get to see it's inner workings. Inner quarrels and how they go through the decision making process etc. Also interesting to see how they were scrambling to keep the company afloat, they werent even sure what to charge the client for these services. "2 million a month maybe?.

I have never seen a company become so toxic so quickly, you would think that HBGarry just dropped an N-Bomb on national TV during the SOTU address or something. Everyone is distancing themselves from them. It makes me happy that these people are ruined, though I would have chosen the same route as they did in regards to their plan of attack. Destroying the integrity of wikileaks by planting fake documents that can be later called out is genious, and finding dirt on everyone and using it to shut them up is the oldest technique in the book.

I hope bank of america burns though.
