I've always liked the Zune theme, though I always change the background. That, and a couple custom themes is what I used most.
What Eee do you have? I've got the 900. That has the CeleronM 900mhz, and a 16gb SSD(glorified thumb drive :^D). It's a little pokey, but I love it. I gave my mother my full size laptop cause I wasn't using it. I have Ubuntu 10.04 on that also :^)

Ok, here is part of the problem. The file uploader says a png file is acceptable. But, when I upload a png file, it is converted to a scaled down jpg. Why won't it upload the same file I choose?

Easiest way to resize photos that I have ever found is with Irfanview. Totally free app that is so simple to use. Open a pic, click on "Edit", click on "Resample/Resize", give it a precentage of original size (I usually just down sixe to 50 or 60 percent of original size) and click ok and save. Resized to a good size for the internet. Then just upload and display. The app is easily findable witha google search. Its the image viewer I have used for years and years. Give it a try.

Nice site. I use Interfacelift http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_b...oads/date/any/
and DeviantArt http://www.deviantart.com/
DeviantArt isn't specifically a desktop site, but there's tons of interesting things to look at, with an emphasis on digital art. They have a little bit of everything there.

I resized mine as a large clickable thumbnail so it wouldn't be so big, but I should probably just make it full size since others did too. Check out my thread regarding the upload script in the Linux Users group. It's pretty handy when uploading pics for stuff like this.
