Great to see this thread, I am a big animal lover, here's my gang:
My 2 spoilt guinea pigs, Biscuit & Brownie can usually be found lounging around, chewing on hay. They wheek and make themselves known as soon as someone opens the fridge door. Brownie (the darker coloured one) was a rescue and he's now 5 years old, getting a real old man these days.
Bertie & Kiwi. Kiwi (green) is a rescue and is 8 years old. They are very sweet.
Mr. Snuffleupagus, cute conure you have. I used to have a Pearly Conure (pic below) which is very similar. Nice to hear yours is a friendly one....ours was pretty evil to be honest, a real biter. We tried for a year but in the end we found a bird person who wanted to take him on, she had lots of large birds so he fit in quite well there. He was extremely clever and took great joy in saying his name, over and over again about 100 times a day.
I have two kitties. I got both of them in 2009 as kittens, the black one in June, and the grey one in October. They were from two different litters from the same mother, who is a barn cat. They love to cuddle, and sleep with me every night, usually one on each side of my legs. 8)
Below is a video one that demonstrates one of the reasons why my hobby has been breeding parrots.
yes, they are that smart. no one sat there and taught that bird anything. he just picked up his knowledge as he got older.
they can repeat words just by hearing them one time. the trick is getting them to want to learn and talk.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
Something I love about this pic, they look like devil dogs from a horror movie, the way the camera caught the blur. The Golden Retriever is my wife's dog, Bella. She's six months old now.
Yes indeed ...

My dog of the 4 is a first born of first litter I ever saw being born...
