New R.E.M. is really good! I prefer the 2008 album more, but it's still good. Also if you want to preview the new Rise Against:

It sounds way better then the last one.

Most of you know I'm a HUGE Dave Matthews fan. I was bummed last year to find out that he wasn't touring in 2011. Taking a year off.

Then a month or so ago they said they were going to do something this summer to celebrate their 20th year as a band touring.

Shortly after that they announced the "Dave Matthews Band Caravan" which is gonna be 4 shows, 3 nights each.

          "JUNE 24-26...North East/Mid Atlantic
          JULY 8-10...Midwest
          AUGUST...coming soon!
          SEPTEMBER...coming soon!"

Though they haven't officially announced any places yet, one got leaked.

Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ 24Jun2011-26June2011

I'm waiting for the midwest dates. It's rumored to be Chicago or Atlanta. So I'll be going to that show.

          Pretty exciting!

Three Dog Night is working on a new album. I love them.

"The band is currently working on a new concept record that explores what the band would have sounded like had they continued to record in the '80s and '90s. Some of the songs are covers from the era, and others are originals made to sound like the era."

That's kinda interesting. Soul Asylum and The Meat Puppets are putting out albums this year.

My favorite Soul Asylum song was the one they did for Clerks. I think Kevin Smith actually directed the video.

GRRR. Work is blocking video. What song is it, and who is covering it?

Soul Asylum was one of those local favorites but once they made it big they started to play record company style music.
Not sure exactly when the switch happened but it definately did and MANY fans just left, never to come back.

of course it's business for most bands but it really can backfire if you lose your artistic soul.

I heard some of there old albums back in the day, and you're right there sound changed completely.

Rise Against - Endgame is ehem...... out now. It is amazing! Like I said before, I was a fan of this band since the first album, back when they were on fatwreck. Saw them live in Mobile with maybe 20 other people back in the day. Now they play stadiums. Anyway, new album is kickass!! A lot harder then the last one, but not as fast as the first two albums either.
