By us intervening with direct military intervention, we are now taking responsibility for the fight and for those people. We will make what is already a bad situation worse. They should lock down the air space to stop ghadaffi from bombing people, but other than that I don't think we should be fighting his army/mercenaries over there, it's just not our fight frankly and this is how we get stuck in a country for the next decade. The rebels will be fighting US within a year if we go there.

The late response is that he was a stable dictator for our friend Israel.

This lack of response however could very well come back and bite us in the ass. If it turns to a more radical/religious/traditional overthrow then we will have no-say in their future.

It is basically a no-win situation, just like all the others over there. That's why everyone including the Kool-aiders should of taken R Pauls advice years ago.

It is the tyrants propaganda that if he is overtaken then the big Al-Aqaida monster will take over, it is a scare crow that the Arab tyrants use to justify staying in power and oppress the nation, remember Tunisia and Egypt, same rhetoric, the two tyrants used the same exact words. The people just want to live freely and peacefully, those tyrants have amased massive fortunes that is in the billions !!!
