We won't touch NK because they have a nuke. If Libya had a nuke we would not touch them. This tells me, well, I think it should be telling these small nations that are not riding the toes of the US, they need to get a nuke. You hear this Iran?

If Bush did this, the libs and Dems would be all over it, but since their messiah is doing it, it's all a-ok. But some of his clan have voiced disapproval. And this is Obama's war, since he did this without congree.

Ain't it funny when doctrinaire progressivism collides messily with the real world? Not the peace-love-dove we-are-all-alike-deep-down world but the really real ever fractious world that actually exists and is packed with an unending procession of deadly and irreconcilable differences that somehow must be managed. Nothing sobers up a cocksure child of the academy faster than sitting down in the Big Chair and being painfully dope-slapped by reality.

+1... And with that said, my opinion is they should have bombed sooner before half the opposition fighters got their ass kicked by Ghaddafy and Osama should have went to Congress first.

I'm very disappointed in Obama. His entire time in the White House so far.

CNN is reporting that an opposition hero, father of two, drove a truck
loaded with explosives into a group of Gadhafis troops and blew himself
                  up along with the troops.

That would certainly be philosophically consistent, but why use only one standard, when you can have two or more? Standards are free!

Libya is one of the oldest african kingdoms and still remains one of the better off african kingdoms, they have it way better than people in N Korea if you ask me.

And Tom, N Korea has a nuke but so what? What could they POSSIBLY do with it? They don't have the technology to shoot it very far, and their missiles blow up 3 out of 4 times, so if we were to bomb their homeland, firing a nuke wouldn't be of much use sicne they couldn't really get it off their property, and if the fight was happening on their land than I doubt they would nuke their own territory lol.

Plus, we just go in first adn do surgical strikes on all of their nuclear silos and solve that problem in the first 25 minutes. N Korea's nuke is about as dangerous as an infant with a nuke. Sure, the infant COULD set it off, but wouldn't accomplish much else other than killing itself. Plus, if they started using nukes than other countries would be forced to stand against them. There is a reason why nukes aren't used, there is no strategic advantage to anyone, having a nuclear arsenal is akin to walking softly and carrying a big stick. The stick will scare off wrongdoers, but won't actually save your ass if they try to kill you.

Confirmed: Hero Story of Gadaffi Suicide Bomber

For the last two weeks a story has been circulating in various incarnations regarding a suicide bomber attacking Gadaffi's compound. Initial reports indicated that one of the Libyan Air Force pilots had turned his plane around and kamikaze suicide bombed and crashed into the Dictator's famous barracks, Bab Al Aziziya.

Confirmation of a suicide attack on the compound has today been aired on CNN and claims that a man named Al Mendhi loaded his car with explosives and drove it into the compound, causing extensive damage. The man's wife and daughters were interviewed, and said they are devastated at the loss of their husband and father, but are nonetheless extremely proud of him.

His best friend reports that he carried the brave man's remains out of the car, and said that "If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would not believe it myself."

He was by all reports a normal fellow, who sat and prayed for half an hour before driving his car into Gadaffi's headquarters in a valiant effort to help the cause. By all reports he was able to cause serious damage.

Now all that remains to be confirmed is the demise of Khamis and/or Saif Gadaffi, both of whom were rumored to be burnt in the blast.

Tweets indicating that Khamis had succumbed to his injuries were confirmed Saturday by Almanara and Arab News, but have not yet been clarified by mainstream media outlets.

What an incredibly thick wedge of irony in the circumstance of a regime notorious for its promotion of terrorism to be targeted by the weapon of suicidal choice by terrorists worldwide.

NATO to take command of Libya campaign

                            Full Story here:
                            http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news...325-1c90o.html

Italian Defence Minister Ignazio La Russa on Thursday evoked two possible aerial missions over Libya, one run by NATO and a second "no-fly zone plus" with a broader mandate that would permit strikes against targets on the ground.

Everyone knows that the current overriding philosophy of US foreign policy is to drop bombs on brown people. Asian people are so mid-twentieth century.

That's why I'm not in politics. I don't understand the subtle nuances of diplomacy :^D
