I have a question to Mr. GN (I have many, he-he, but will ask then one at a time).
Regarding these extra starks: these were aimed at Norwegian market at first, correct and there was no demand for extra strong snus in Sweden. General Extra Sterk (Sterk is the Norwegian word for Stark - strong in English) was launched by SM to meet demand for strong snus in Norway.

I was wondering, what is the reason behind these differences in taste between two brother nations.. why is it Norwegians like their snus strong while Swedes are happy to settle for "weaker" regular brands?

well Jan i am not so sure that SM relised strong snus sooner then we did . And when we did we thougt in falowing way we do not come and take others bred, we find somthing new and it was stark and we relised it in Sweden without knowing of Norwigian preferences our stark we relised in august 2008 i belive , now about Norwigians it is more Capitalistik country you can feel the diferense betwin classes but not in Sweden is it god or bed or does that playing role on nicotin preferences i do not know i Noway where men want to have stronger things i do not know , but theyre is highest taxes in the world and might be becose of that people wants to have stronger stuff to pay less in long term , I meen Stronge nicotin is les used cigarets ans snus, bésides thay have oil and gas but it is does not metter to test preferences, and warlds i belive nicest nature is in Norway beside New Zeeland

Prices for snus are crazy in Norway...... I was stupid enough to shop for snus at Olso airport while stopping over between connecting flights. Then, when account statement arrived from my bank it nearly gave me a heart attack. Believe me, the sum I got charged on my credit card worked stronger than any EXTRA STERK snus SM or GN or Gajane or Skruf has ever produced or will ever produce.... around 10 euros per can is what I had paid... ridiculous.
Apart from that Norway is one of the nicest places on Earth, it terms of nature. Cut down on the number of days you stay there but visit.. it is worth it.

They actually did not.. but I could buy myself a shot of vodka at the aquavit bar ... for another 10 Euros...and that was nice enough of them.
