ok so I'm an ass. I know. But GN is good to us. We need to let him have his place for complaints if he wants. I'm sure he doesn't want that thread turning into one like this. That just would't be good for business. Sometimes we have to be serious.

There are people that come to this site that are solely interested in snus.....without all the banter.

I know Northerner is thinking of putting one in for Customer service already..........why not use it for MD orders as well.

Again if the law only specifies Internet sales then I would be slow to self inflict further regulations. Let the law makers write what the law makers intend

It might also legally protect sellers to banner it on their site "No internet sales for MD residents. MD residents must use our 1-800 number or download our mail order form"

Sadly buddy the law is relatively specific in that it prohibits internet, catalog and phone sales of tobacco products into the state of MD. Even our attorney said, looks like we have to stop selling into MD, and that really sucks because this law was written to prevent "untaxed" shipments and our shipments are taxed, so we are charging exactly what the brick and mortars would have to charge. It's a shame really. I've called several times and left messages, and I'm sure my contact there will call me back, but not so sure they will have good news.

Sorry all....I'm also working with one of our distributors to quickly set up some stores in MD to offset this change in law. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress ;-)

don't worry. it took me a few minutes to realize that if there wasn't a warning that that thread would end up like this one. By the time I posted it there were 15 posts on the thread. ITs nice to keep all the idle comments and photos and such in one place. Besides you asked for complaints. all that should be posted over there is complaints or major concerns.
