My Wife And I Are Going To The......

funeral home tomorrow to get info and set up prepaid services etc. for me so she doesn't have to worry about that when my time comes.

    This should be interesting.

Guess she decided not to flush me down the toilet when I pass on. woopie
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Next week you'll be sleeping in a pimped out casket won't you, lol? I actually met a woman several years ago that slept every night in a coffin...that was one creeeeepy bitch. She was all Gothed out. She worked with my wife.

I think what you're doing is a good idea dude, no reason you're wife should have to worry about shit like that if you croak unexpectedly. Good on ya ;-)

My mom did it before we moved her to Georgia about 10 months ago. The family always uses a local funeral home and gets buried in the area of a cemetary reserved for the family. We all plan on being sent back here so why not? Its cheaper to pay for it now. Also, saves on taxes.

I wonder if they have group rates??

shhh.....the wife doesn't know about the hookkers. She thinks I'm marinating jerky. I'm not lieing.

We could always cremate you and then take your ashes to either Swedish Match or V2 to to be added to limited edition flavored snus...taste PP in every portion.

On a real note, I am only 29 and after my sister's murder in 2002 I have had my plans already set as to what happens, who gets what and where to drop me into the ground. I think everyone should plan out everything while they can...not like we are getting any younger.

I don't like this stuff at all.

              I hate it in fact.

A neigbour of mine is 36 and went down to the funeral home and got not one but two spaces, I mean what's the point at such an age. There's the kids that can set up something in case their "old" parents die.... maybe I will change my opinion on this as I get older. :^)

PP, why do you worry about this thing?

You look like 50 in the photo you've posted on the contest page, there's still like 20 years to go

Thats the smart thing to do. I can tell you from personal experience that having to negotiate with a funeral director that is trying to screw you since he is aware that you don't have much time, at a time like that is enough to make you want to put another person in the ground.

exactly. And they will take advantage of you at a time like that.

@ fish, I have some serious health issues. 1 year ago my doctor told me to get my "affairs" in order, along with a few other recommendations. He said he'd give me 10 more years, and that if I do everything he tells me to do and take my meds. Apparently, I wore my heart out.

besides, I'm order than I look. So is my wife. Check the ugly mug thread for her photo, shes 5 years older than me and looks 20 years younger than she really is. When she goes out with our 44 year old daughter people think they are sisters.

PP, you should try NONI juice, there are some people over here with heart related problems that take NONI,
I don't believe in wonders but I've heard only good stuff about it. My brother takes it ocasionaly for Chrons disease
and seems to work a little bit.

It also reduces cholesterol and blood pressure.

This is a great product TAHITIAN NONI® Juice :^)

I wish you have a long and healthy life, what do doctors know, eh?

                        thanks.

I thought I would go get a second opinion. It would be great if I can get another doctor to give me 10 years. Then I'd have 20 years to go.

That is on my list of things to do. Get it all set up and squared away so nobody has to deal with those funeral bastards when i go. They really know how to take advantage of you when you just lost someone.

Doctors just practice....they gave my grandfather six months to live after his first heart attack in 1989. He passed in 2003. So, according to my math and what I know of doctors and their prognoseses you will live 140 more years or so...

                          I could be wrong though.

wow that was great for your grandfather.

well, when the doctor puts both hands on your shoulders and pushes you in to a chair and says to "get your affairs in order, this is serious. You are a walking heart attack" you tend to listen. Of course he doesn''t know what will happen. I don't think

                              correct.

they can't know when the first attack will coome if you have a heart issue, when the second one will come either... they just speculate and it's nonsense to speculate.

I heard of someone live up to 70 and had 2 heart attacks.
