question for those with HTC phones

Was curious if you guys use screen protectors? I know with the iPhone its scratch resistant is it the same with HTC? I ask because I pulled back the protector and the screen looks a lot better without it.. clearer

I've got a Desire and don't use a screen protector. I think it's mad stuffing plastic all over an amoled screen - just ruins it.
I've got a case which folds over the screen which protects it when it's in my pocket - it only cost me 6 quid or something.
The screen seems quite resistant but I'm taking good care of it.

I think all the new smart phones have something on the glass that protects them. The iphone for example seems to never scratch even without one, I imagine this is probably common to most smart phones as well. I would leave it off if it is making your phone screen blurry.

thanks guys I took it off. It was the anti glare that made it look a little foggy. Looks 100% better now

As everyone has said, most new phones come with a new type of glass called gorilla glass or some sort of glass very similar to that.

Basically any model from later than midway through last year has pretty tough glass.

I always keep a protector on my phone, and I have to change it every few months because it gets scratched to hell. Time for a new one now actually. The phone's glass may be strong, but I beat my phones up pretty bad and don't want to risk ruining it...

Thats me........I've had too many scratched screnes to not add a little protection. That said there is a big difference between some of the cheeper screne protectors and ones that are a little higher end. I paid about $5 for mine. It is clear as a bell...........no distortion or darkening..............and gives a little peace of mind WITH MY WHOOPING BIG ASS 4.3 INCH HTC INSPIRE SCREEN

Corning exited the bakeware market to produce new glass products. Their engineering effort gave us gorilla glass which is some pretty tough stuff from any materials science angle.

I'm none too sure all these protectors are really needed anymore; however my phone is quite cheap and fitted with only the basest of materials so no gorilla glass for me.
