Someone was interviewing the queen and asking about what her thoughts were on the fact that they were spending millions of pounds of tax payer money to pay for this wedding. Some people find it distastefull to waste money on "royal" crap in the year 2011 and during a financial collapse. The queens response was that "It's a small price to pay and it will be well worth it for the subjects who will get a chance to catch a glimpse of the royal family."


Subjects? That taxpayer money is justified because the peasants just can't wait to catcha glimpse of the royal family on the balcony? It makes me sick.

well i for one was not getting up to watch it however, my breathing effed up shortly after it was over and was disappointed that it happened to be too late to catch it on, so i went back to sleep. I have though been peepin at some pics and she looked gorgeous! i'd hit it. :0)

I tend to agree, but this is an interesting video about the $ side of it that makes me reconsider my position. If what this guy says is true, we'd not only need to be anti-monarchists but also anti-rich people in general. I'm willing to go there... off with their heads!

Agreed. Consider however, the tourism and merch. dollars generated within the area from the millions of folks that seem to be interested in this shite. Hotels, bars, restaurants etc. in the area are full of people spending.....all thanks to these two dorks getting married.

I've looked into the Royal family economics and the do bring in a huge amount of money to the UK - much more than we give them. That's a fact.

P.S - I'm not a royalist - I couldn't really care.
