I got a PM from him last night. Hes somewhat better now but had some serious health problems. He is back and catching up with his life and snuson. He should be posting soon. I'll let him explain what his actual health issues are. But fear not.....he seems to be ok now. PP

I'M (ALMOST) BACK!!

Pretty much summarized my plight to a few of you who PMd me so I'll just copy that here for now:


"Hey guys,

Thanks for your concerns. I certainly didn't mean to cloak-and-dagger my situation. I ended up in the hospital for 10 days and had no internet access. There was no one with access to my computer who would have been able to post anything here.

My leg ulcers became infected and eventually knocked me on my ass. Went to the ER Saturday afternoon (May 7). Just got out Tuesday (May17), after being pumped full of super antibiotics. Still hurtin' and will have a Visiting Nurse over every day for a while to cleanse and bandage my legs. The biggest challenge I had in the hospital was finding the right pain meds for my needs. Tried some really potent shit that ended up either useless for me or they aggravated the ulcers. Ended up with Vicodin tabs and Fentanyl patches. Gotta lay off all the NSAIDs for a while so I can't even use my old standby ibuprofen. Also got a script for Gabapentin (Neurontin) to counter the shooting pains in my legs.

On the positive side, a friend of mine brought me a good supply of BOOST, which I chain-snussed the whole time I was there. Had to get the hospital and doctor to approve it but assured them they'd have a madman on their hands if they didn't approve my 'miracle snus from Sweden' (their actual words!! ).

Now I've got 10 days of SnusOn to catch up on. Should feel up to posting in a few days so anyone who thinks I've gone away will be disappointed!!! Right now, though, I've got to get my strength back and my feet under me; haven't been hospitalized in quite a while and realize now it ain't no picnic when you're hurtin'.

The pain is pretty much under control but when it does flare up my legs feel like they're on fire. I can certainly empathize with burn victims although their pain has to be extreme and worthy of more than Vicodin!!
