What are you supposed to eat Fjällbrynt with?

Got some with my last Northerner order after I got some cloudberry jam the last time (which rocks)..

However, this stuff just tastes odd plain, its a whey cheese with vanilla.. kind of sweet like cream cheese but kind of velveeta-esque. Makes a pretty bad grilled cheese too.

So, what is this stuff usually eaten with?

I'm guessing you got the Swedish version of Norwegian cheese (which is brown and semi-sweet. Kinda like mixing burnt sugar [=caramel] with the milk somewhere in the process of making cheese).

My aunt brought back some of the Norwegian stuff a long time ago and I just couldn't "place" the stuff. It was like expecting something with a hearty taste (like CHEESE) but half of it being like candy and thus appealing to the 'sweet' taste buds. Verrrry weird. :?

You might as well make a grilled marshmallow or strawberry-jelly-and-cheese sandwich.

I eat brunost with jam or just plain, on a piece of bread.
it's a very Norwegian thing really, a little sweet and strange as you described it.
