Possibly, Eric. It's not as bad as it could've been, considering I made the whole thing in one night in 11th grade, with no previous animation experience. Still, when your entire supplies list is paperclips, $20 worth of clay, a show box, print outs off google, a book sock and a $75 disposable camera from Best Buy, you're not exactly aiming for an Oscar. From what I remember, I wound up voicing all the characters except the magic mirror and one of the dwarves... I still loved working with that kid, because he just decided to turn complete control over to me since I could write at a better level than him. We were always pairing up when the teacher would give out topical cards, and we'd have to write a five minute dialogue based on the card, and perform it during the next class. I remember one time we got a card saying we were visiting a friend in France. At the start, we'd abandoned our friend to go hiking, so we wouldn't need to write any dialogue for him, and got locked out of his house. Naturally, we decided to take the 2:30PM UFO from Nice to Paris, and then I spent the rest of the dialogue making fun of the horrible in-flight food you get on commercial UFO lines these days.
Great writing? Probably not. Made French a hell of a lot more entertaining, though, and having read novels in it during a year I took off from the course in high school, I was able to make my French teacher look crazy. I'd write in all sorts of absurd plot-lines and jokes, and run through them in my best efforts at rapid fire, Parisian style French. Result was the jokes would fly right over my classmate's heads, and they'd be left wondering why Mrs. Alissi was laughing like a loon in the back of the classroom.
I've spent ages trying to find my high school mythology video. My group had to make a clip retelling a Tibetan myth. Can't recall which myth it was exactly, but at some point I had to climb up a tree in the story. Being lazy sorts, we found a tree that had fallen over and turned the camera on its side. Our trick was unravelled quite fast when my teacher pointed out I as climbing up the tree with my palms flat against the trunk, not holding anything.
